JAL partner award: 6 segment and 3 stopover rule question

I am trying to book the following flight on EK to Africa that contains 6 segments:
  • HKG-DXB-ABJ, LOS-DXB-KRT, KRT-DXB-HKG
However, the DXB-ABJ leg actually contains a brief layover in ACC. So the actual routing is HKG-DXB(-ACC-)ABJ.

It seems I am able to book the flight while satisfying the 6 segment rule, since DXB-ABJ has no direct flights and it has to layover in ACC.

My question is: in this case, can I do a stopover in ACC? Would that count within the 6 segment rule (as well as 3 stopovers rule) enforced by JAL, or would it be considered as 7 segments and thus be invalid?

Thanks for any insight into this!
