This route still shows "Subject to government approval" still - how do I find the latest news on this?

JAL has a tendency to write that more or less until the flight starts operating. I have never seen any of these new routes opened for booking with that note added not starting to operate as announced. I don't think there is any risk whatsoever that NRT SEA will not commence as announced.

Flying JAL from Narita to SEA in January in business . This should be on the 788 with Skysuite correct? Are there any seats I should try to avoid, and any that I should try to get. I'm a solo traveler so I'm thinking a window seat most likely.

A window seat would be preferable But 10 months from now, the plane type may change.

SEA is not getting an F cabin, so no Salon no matter when the flight is taken. It will be operated by a 787-8

Did the return in business class last week.
relatively short flight but service onboard was top notch.
The lounge in Seattle (Club lounge) is just shabby and subpar for typical JAL contract lounge offerings.
Just hope they get enough complaints to consider contracting Alaska for their lounge.
