Using JAL for these routes, possible?
Hello, could someone let me know if the below routes are allowed with JAL mileage? I'd call their call center to find out, but it's a long wait.
SYD-DXB (Emirates) stop over
DXB-HKG (Emirates)
HKG-LAX (Cathay)
Or
SYD-DXB (Emirates) stop over
DXB-KUL (Emirates)
KUL-LAX (Malaysian)
SYD-DXB (Emirates) stop over
DXB-HKG (Emirates)
HKG-LAX (Cathay)
Or
SYD-DXB (Emirates) stop over
DXB-KUL (Emirates)
KUL-LAX (Malaysian)

If I understand you correctly.
So Sydney - DXB (stop) - HKG will be 115k JAL
and HKG - LAX will be 100K JAL
That would not work better for me then in terms of miles. I thought I can mix carriers with JAL. Thank you for replying.

you can mix carriers if you are redeeming oneworld award, which obviously does not include EK
