I think it is a given that to get profit out of an LCC operation, there is no space for 2-4-2. They seemed to want to staff the cockpit from JAL pilots, so no low cost crews there. Cost has to go down somewhere
yea I am surprised when I read that too. Do they have enough JL pilots? Or they are going to put the green ones on LCC flights and promote them back to JAL once they have enough experience

They may use it as a training platform in the longer run. Bit like the regionals in the US..

@CPH-Flyer, they don't need galley. This is a LCC and expect the catering to be like this LOL I wonder if JL regrets making this CM now

HND won't be the launch destinations. This LCC is meant to compliment JAL's existing network and they will start with secondary cities in Europe and the US not served by JAL.

They’ve named the president of the new LCC. The JMB guy will be in charge of the new LCC. Very suiting given the endless devaluation he has implemented LOL

JAL finally announced the name of the prep company. I guess the airline name is still a secret for now. Onishi has been telling people this is not a LCC but the English press release still calls this a LCC LOL
