Does JAL overbook F?

I'm flying on JL44 (LHR-HND) around Easter time and the flight looks very heavily booked, with only 2J for sale across all cabins (based on ITA Matrix, I don't have ExpertFlyer).

I found an old thread saying JL never oversells the F cabin. Does that policy still stand? I am used to reading stories of BA downgrading F redemptions so I'm just looking for a bit of reassurance please!

Thanks

1) JAL is not BA.
2) I have never read reports on JAL IDG on flyertalk.
3) I have heard of JAL IDB-ing, however, outside of FT world.
4) I havent covered the japanese bloggers, nonetheless.

So, whilst i cannot confirm if JL overbooks F, I have always had the impression they prefer to IDB rather than IDG. I hope this helps with mitigating risks (Rather than giving you the answer you wanted/looked for)....

JL never oversells the F cabin. The policy is fully enforced. JAL is not BA.
=>Of course, "never" doesn't mean it is guaranteed. If a VVVIP (Government folks etc.) suddenly needs to be on the flight, they will bump one of their loyal customers (who is likely to more easily appreciate the reward) and compensate them handsomely in hard cash, vouchers or points.
