JAL Group Announces Flight Frequency and Fleet Plans for FY2018
JAL Group - PRESS RELEASES - JAL Group Announces Flight Frequency and Fleet Plans for FY2018
No surprises. Only new domestic routes and shuffling of aircraft configurations, e.g. 2nd daily HND-BKK getting SS2, NRT-DFW upgraded to SS9, NRT-HKG loses SS9, MNL upgraded to SS9II, etc

By the way NH is adding 3rd daily HND-BKK. Probably one of the reasons why JL upgraded the 2nd HND-BKK flight to SS2

SS6 sucks. The SKY SUITE II is so narrow even in the upright position. And the loss of PY is bad for those connecting to NA on PY ticket.
The China network as a whole has been performing pretty well in the past year or so. NRT-PEK going to 73H may have to do with aircraft rotation? They have to shuffle around the 787 to provide daily service to DME? Also, it's possible that the new AA LAX-PEK may be taking away connection traffic from the NRT-PEK route? Those tickets are dirt cheap.

A new 787-9 Seat Configuration also appeared on the JL website --> https://www.jal.co.jp/en/aircraft/conf/789.html
E92: 28J / 21 PE / 190Y for a total of 239 seats. This could be deployed for JL741/742 starting with the May 2018 deliveries.
As to how many will be on E92 no one knows although when the E91 news came out, it was reported that only 4 frames will be on this config.
Also, at the local JP thread, they are saying MIA or PER could still be announced next as part of the 2018 Plan

also a new configuration for 787-8 comes out too. They took away some J seats and add in more Y. This should be more efficient use of space for regional routes so the seat counts go from 186 to 206 for the non SS8 planes.

the E03 config has been published for a while and it’s being deployed on both long haul and regional routes.
