Funny, I never noticed them in the window seats.

Best J seat on 787-8 SkySuite (config with rows 1~3,7,8)

Trying to decide between 1 D/G vs 2 D/G vs 2H vs 7 D/G vs 7H.
Sorry - I'm a complete novice as I've not flown business on JAL in over 10-15 years.
With my flight (SAN-NRT) changing to Sky Suites, all window seats got blocked presumably for JAL elites or something. So window seats are not an option.

I'm thinking either 2 D/G or 2H, because bulkhead's close to the galley (although I read upthread that the second galley is quieter) and because meals get served front to back.
Do you concur with this choice? If so, is 2H better than 2 D/G? I guess the only difference is that you have a firmer partition from your neighbor if you sit on 2H?

Any advantage at all to bulkhead, or none at all?

I would stay in te front cabin, but otherwise I would say not much actual difference between the listed choices No benefit for bulkhead seats. Space is the same

Thanks. I'm going with 2H then.

Could someone tell which A/K seats are missing windows in the 789 Sky Suite cabin? Thanks in advance!

We are flying J in a 789 equipped with a Sky Suite III. Are the footwells larger in the bulkhead rows 1 and 8?

Many thanks for your learned insights!

I've only been on this 787-9 only twice and I've only taken 1A/K. The footwell are actually really large on row 1 and I could sleep well with my legs stretched out (I'm 6'1). The seat itself is on the narrow side.

We're a party of 4 traveling SAN-NRT this summer on awards - so no window seats available for selection.

This configuration has Sky Suites in rows 1-3 and 7-8. We've already reserved seats 2D/G and are wondering if we should pick 1D/G or 3D/G for the other 2 seats. Would one row be better than the other? Thanks!

No real difference in the seats Some will probably say the row 1 too close to the galley but that has not bothered me personally.

Window seats: the Apex suites window seats seem locked and I can't get one assigned. When do these get unlocked? I'll be flying HKG-NRT-JFK and it's the NRT-JFK 787 sector on which I am having this issue.

If still available, you will be able to select them at OLCI. Are you booked on an award ticket?

NRT JFK is on a 77W

Award ticket, you'll have to wait for OLCI for a window seat.

NRT ORD is also a 77W.
