JAL Miles on Cathay Pacific

I have a rookie question. I am a JAL mileage bank member. I signed up when I flew to japan as I didn’t have any one world affiliation. I’m flying on Cathay Pacific (E) and notice that my accrual rate for JAL will only be 70%. Would it be better to open an AA account for this flight or keep with JAL at the 70% accrual rate?

if you don’t fly much then go with BA or AA. Their miles won’t expire as long as you have activities. JMB miles expires after 3 years.
