Was he a Japanese? If he was, it would be so unjapanese-like...

I have been through the HND Fast Track queue this year as BA Gold flying JL J, QR Plat flying JL J and QR Gold flying QR J - technically this thread implies I shouldn't have been let through in any of these situations, but was without questions in each case. Not sure what to read into that!

Stories like yours are reported from time to time. I guess what you should make of it is that you have been fortunate, and that you should not count on it happening always.

Indeed! It’s a bit of a strange rule. Any idea whether a BA Gold flying a BA-coded but JL-operated flight qualifies?

I had seen a photo of the board that states which airlines can use the fast track, just need to remember where I saw it

There is a board with airlines and classes/status listed at the HND I main checkpoint. Unless it's changed in the last year, some airlines (eg QF) aren't listed, yet I've never had a problem using that line.
I've flown out of HND in Premium Eco and Business. QF Platinum. On JL, CX and QF.

Flying JAL J again out of HND. Figured I'd fake my way through Fast Track with a non-One World card only to find that Fast Track is closed after 23:30. Probably 200 people in line at the North outbound immigration area. Walked to immigration at the other end. Only 2 people in line. Weird.

That's kind of early to close it, but I guess they reduce the number of people working in the airport around that time, while there is still public transport for people to get home. Did you notice if there is a closing time for the north security? (The center security would the one where the fast track is)

While Haneda is in an excellent location for central Tokyo, the facilities in the international terminal have not really expanded in line with the operations. And security is one of the areas that could do with an expansion, though probably not very easy to do.

I got taken to the crew line by TG today. Only problem was there were about 20 crew members standing in line.... but actually no problem, the agent just grabbed me, pushed past everyone and cut into the front of the line. How embarrassing.

More weirdness. Checked in for J class flight on JAL a little after mid-night. JAL check in agent walked me through the crew lane. I have no idea how this works.

Where you cutting it very close? Or do you have an AA CK status you forgot about?

No. It was over an hour before departure. And... zero status with AA or any one world carriers. The only thing I can think is that I had a bunch of JAL F left over boarding passes in my passport and the agent exercised independent judgment (seems unlikely as it is not very JAL-like.)

Since JAL F pax don't get to use the crew lane at HND, that is unlikely to be the reason. I only know of Thai doing that.
