I have never been to this specific lounge, was it obviously due for a refresh?

Not too sure, only a week of closure doesn't seem like the norm for a refresh. Unless they are renovating it 24/7 which I don't see why can't be achieved by the Japanese!

I remember this satellite sakura lounge had closed this March.
If my memory serves, there were only Udon, Curry and small plates dishes which are not served in main Sakura lounge.
After renovation, the dining area is expanded. The same food is provided as the main lounge.
No idea for further renovation.

I couldn't find JAL press release for the previous renovation only found this.
