HND JL First Class Lounge

Hello,

Couple of questions, does anyone know if the HND JL FC Lounge has a nap room like NRT? What is the latest that you can stay in the Lounge? 1am?

Arriving inHND on the afternoon and my flight leaves until next morning. I was just wondering if I can stay the whole time in the JL FC Lounge.

1:30am

I am not sure if you will have access if your flight departs on the next day. Hotel near HND are cheap and you will be much more comfortable.

I believe the lounge closes at 1:30am on the last flight. You will have to get out and sleep elsewhere.

My wife and I stayed in MyStays Haneda and we can recommend it - good size as far as Japanese (esp Tokyo) hotels go. In fact we took the free shuttle bus the next morning with a handful on ANA FAs who then happened to be serving our flight.

second that. unless you need a visa to enter japan, you should get out and get a hotel such as the one recommended above. if you really want to stay within the airport, I suggest you google up the two options for haneda airport hotels.

LOL! Apologies if I have upset any forum etiquette regarding brand loyalty. I come from the BA and TG forums where we're used to slagging off those respective airlines

This is going way OT but JALPak your user name is just perfect for a JAL ambassador. Now whenever I watch an in-flight movie on JAL I think of your sage advice on this forum, and whenever I see your posts on this forum I think of a cheerful packaged holiday in Honolulu in an open topped JAL tour bus.

Based on my similar NRT experience, I had to clear security to get airside to access the FC lounge, and NRT security did not let me go airside with a next day boarding pass.

In Dec 2016, I flew BC/FC BKK-NRT-ORD, with my BKK-NRT BC flight arriving at 4pm and my FC NRT-ORD leaving the next morning at 11am. Upon arrival with my next day NRT-ORD boarding pass, I tried to go airside at 3 different security checkpoints, but all 3 security persons checked my boarding pass denied me airside access because my flight departed the next day. I wanted to access the NRT FC lounge and wait out the long passport control line, but could not get past security.

So I had to exit the airport and enter Japan, and the passport control line at NRT at 4pm was very long. But I showed a JAL agent my next day FC boarding pass and she escorted me through the fast track immigration lane even though I arrived NRT in BC.

The main difference is that NRT does not operate 24 hours a day, the terminal is closed after the last departure and it reopens 7 or 7:30 am. So even if they had let you through at 4pm, they would have asked you to leave the terminal around 10:30pm.

The rules talk about a same day departure, and the business class flight would need to be less than 5 hours for the first class lounge to apply. Same day Means before 6am the following. So strictly speaking, no.

There is a transit hotel airside in Haneda that you could use.

Alternatively, I would try to talk to the lounge attendants. As the connection is JL to JL, they should allow you at least the business class lounge for the connection in my oppinion. But rules may very well be rules.

In June 2015 I was able to access HND airside in the evening with a boardingpass for the next day (had a very early flight to GMP).
When I wanted to enter the J lounge that evening as Sapphire, the person behind me (an emerald) offered to guest me into the F lounge. JL staff was not pleased with that, especially when they saw I had a BP for the next day, but they eventually let me in.
Was asked to leave 15min before closure, was the only person in the lounge at that time.
