Transfer at NRT SQ to JL and one more
My wife will be flying in on SQ to NRT and transferring to a JL flight. Can her bags be checked through and transferred or do they need to be picked up.
Also she is flying Business class for work. What options if any to possibly upgrade to F.

If there is F on the JAL flight, and she has miles with JAL, it is possible to request an upgrade.

The initial question was in reference in Changing terminals and Airlines at NRT.
Do you know the process can you have your checked luggage transferred or do you need to pick it up and recheck.
The 2nd part - Wife is on a paid business class ticket. Does jal offer any paid upgrades to F? Or do they only offer upgrades using their own points.

You can pay the fare differences plus penalty to upgrade to F.
