I was thinking a moisture mask in the shape of an oval with eye and mouth cut outs.
It's a standard mask for the mouth with inserts that you can soak in water to prevent your throat and sinuses from drying out. It is not intended as a facial mask.

Miles better than the nasty grabbing of stuff from a basket. The black one is a keepsake. Unfortunately I've done all my JAL long haul flying for rest of this year!

Flew LAX-NRT on the 6th of October. I can confirm that it was loaded both black and red Tumi! I have not open the contents yet but indeed it is a much more welcome change. Now only if they have Rimowa for first..that will be perfect :P

um...i thought LAX-NRT starts on Oct 7...looks like they did it early on the same-day turnaround flight and probably JFK, ORD, etc started on 7.

See you haven't opened the kit yet, that's why I said it is not necessary to provide a porch

Does this include YVR? Going Monday really excited to be flying JAL again!

Upon further inspection (i.e. RTFM) yes, indeed it does! SCORE.

It's just a TUMI pouch with no JAL branding, at least not from what I see without opening it. Not sure what all the hype is about. It's just a pouch.

I'm sure you can just decline the amenity kit!

I have seen people left behind the empty TUMI pouch. If they provide all the items without the pouch, I am sure some will just take the items.

Indeed I got both kits in Red & Black (Inbound and outbound) as well as First Class kit when flying ex-LA on 6th.

The kit for business class is definitely a step-up from ANA's L'occitane kit. It includes a tumi eyemask and a lip balm, toothbrush and moisturizing eye mask, ear plugs and a pocket of tissue paper. Now, if they can throw in a bottle of lotion and/or pack of mouthwash, it will be a complete kit for business class.

Mouthwash is available at the lavatory or on request. But yup I want lotion! JAL used to provide lotion even in Y lavatory!

Yes, the NH C amenity kit is rather poor. However, no one (not even JL) has yet been able to beat EK's C kit in my experience.
