Hey all,

I'll be on my first JAL flight (NRT -> YVR) next month. I booked today via Egencia (Expedia owned, our corporate travel site that we must use) with an interesting routing (SEA -> LAX via AS, LAX -> NRT via AA, NRT -> YVR via JL, YVR -> SEA via AS) as I have a meeting in LAX on the outbound.

I have confirmed seats on all flights except the NRT -> YVR leg (JL 18). When I plug in my reservation info on https://www.ar.jal.com/arl/en/ it shows up but in the Seat Selection process everything shows "Occupied" . The ticket is a "Class V" ticket FWIW (yes economy, my company doesn't do business class).

An email has been sent kindly ask for a seat assignment. Is this a request they will full fill or am I S.O.L. and at the mercy of whats available on 09/13?

Seems like JL18 is fully booked and currently I only see 1 seat (25A) available if I make a mock booking but then I guess it's because I have status with JL although expertflyer shows this seat is blocked. Try calling JL Reservations with your PNR and see if you can pre-assign your seat. If not, then come in way early on 9/13 to beat the vacationing crowd as this is a holiday weekend - sometimes called Silver Week as there are 2 national holidays - Sep 15 and 23. Good luck.
