JAL-Metal Card released
I was told several high Ranked customers of JAL have received New Metal Card who selected from 2011 Diamond members. ( do not know how to be selected by JAL )
This offer for annual basis and higher rank than the current diamond level...
Come with the support desk, some special services ( unknown ) ...
The card itself made by Titanium and developed by JAL's maintenance facility...
The applicants are received from this month with 10pcs Domestic F coupons ...

Are you one of the members who received this metal card?

one year base
if this is true, it would be insane to create this card every year...

The metal card is given annually as it is a select group of JMB Diamond members who receive this. If you no longer qualify for Diamond, you won't get the metal card.
In practical terms, the domestic upgrades are useless for US based members and the only 1 benefit is that you get to make reservations for award tix a bit earlier than others.

So I've been fortunate to receive one of these. Other than the documented benefits in the letter, has anyone found any difference to the treatment they received as a diamond status? Keen to hear your experiences.

Curious if you are extremely frequent flyer on JL? I can say its you probably get well looked after especially in Japan Airports/Domestic flights(I am unsure if same applies to overseas airport). (I assume you are based in Australia)

I fly once a month in J between Australia and Japan so not sure if that's considered more than a regular frequent flyer....perhaps they saw me splitting my flights between CX, QF and JL?
For those that can read Japanese, these are the additional benefits on top of diamond status.

I got one too.
I have not flown with it yet, and the letter does say that the benefits does not kick in until 1st of April.
If people are curious, I had 51 international JAL group flights last year, plus some oneworld flights.
I doubt there will be much extra service. But the card is pretty neat.

Is the card Still made up of some good metal like Titanium or some high end metals compound as per reply made in 2012?
