Yokoso Fares

I was looking at the Yokoso fares and trying to compare them to what you have to pay via Kayak etc. Are there additional taxes and fuel fees on top of the JPY 10,000 fares?

Thanks for your help.

Depends

E.g. There will be facility charge when you use HND airport. The consumption tax will not be charge if you are connecting to/from an international flight

Thanks. So no fuel charges?

Your travel agent/JAL should be able to get you the exact quote. JTB's price changes every Wednesday, so prices quoted by them are valid until the next Wed. Probably the same for other agents.

I only paid ~102 yen fee on my NRT-CTS-HND Yokoso ticket

I'm a former JAL reservation agent and if I remember correctly, the price breakdown are as follows:

- applies only for those flying on a oneWorld ticket and need to send copy of that ticket to JAL reservation office via fax

-10,000¥ for each way (must fly at least 2 sectors, no more than 5)

- taxes vary depending on route

- if you buy on phone, will be charged $10 for ticket handling

- no fuel surcharge applies but things could have changed (since 9/2010)

Call and find out is the best as JALPAK says.

Things have changed and you can purchase as little as one sector with the OW Yokoso fare

http://www.ar.jal.com/region/en/flig...es/yokoso.html

If you are not flying OW to Japan, minimum of 2 sectors are required for the Welcome to Japan fare

Is there an alternative to purchasing the ticket on the phone? (to avoid the $10 fee)

I used travel agents and was not charged the ticketing fee. If that's not the choice, I would rather pay the $10 ticketing fee (if there's one) than buying a regular domestic ticket through JAL Japan website.
