Which side of plane into FCO?

Is there anything scenic around FCO that makes it more desirable on one side of the plane or the other? We were able to secure reward seats in business class on Alitalia, so we will have a nice unobstructed view. Recommendations?

FCO is a long way from Rome so you're unlikely to see anything. Not much interesting on the approach.

Not always true. When coming from the South/Southeast (i.e. Greece, Middle East, East Africa, Asia, etc.) and you're heading for a landing in the opposite direction (i.e. from the North; the most common case, actually), one overflies the very centre of Rome. From the left hand side you can see the Vatican and part of the centro storico. Absolutely great.

I'd take a chance on the left-hand side.
