Wholesale fashion districts in Rome?
I own women's retail stores in the U.S. and will be in Italy (primarily Rome and Florence) for a week. I would love to squeeze in a little work and scout out some new brands to import. Where are their Downtown Los Angeles (fast fashion) equivalents?
Thanks in advance. :) |

Fashion is centred in Milan but that tends to be at the high end.

Here is a website that lists outlet malls near Florence...it may help:

There are a fair number of outlet malls in towns around Rome, but I'm not sure that's what OP wants. I'm assuming she wants to see wholesale places with the intent of importing and selling merchandise in the USA.
If it's just outlets, there are two large ones outside of Rome. The MacArthur Glen Designer outlet in Castel Romano 20 minutes outside of Rome, http://www.mcarthurglen.com/it/caste...gner-outlet/it. Valmontone, a town about 45 minutes from Rome, has a large number of outlet stores called Fashion District, http://www.fashiondistrict.it/it/fashion-district |
My advice for anyone looking to import clothing would be take a short trip to Bologna to the Centergross which is a big place where lots of wholesalers go https://www.centergross.com/ or ask someone to check for you https://www.sourcingitaly.com/, as it’s been said there’s a few designer outlets and fashion “districts” around but I don’t think it’s what the thread opener asked, my preferred designer outlets are in northern Italy in any case for that matter, I particularly love Serravalle Outlet https://outlets.mcarthurglen.com/en/...et-serravalle/ which is another one part of the McArthur Glen group, it’s between Genoa and Turin as all the big names are there.
Around Parma the Fidenza Village is quite nice too https://www.fidenzavillage.com/ But if it’s B2B you’re looking for I think Centergross would be the most obvious choice. Centro Tessile Milano also but I think you need Italian VAT for that one not sure. |
Cheap clothing : Prato just outside Florence. In Rome try Commerce city, many Chinese etc. there

A quick google search for "grossisti moda roma" brings up a couple of promising results:
Commercity Centro del Commercio all'Ingrosso di Roma - Home page https://www.depositiriuniti.it/abbig...o-all-ingrosso Hope this helps! |
