help-power converter
We are packing for our trip to Rome and will be leaving in a couple days. I can't find my European power converter that I bought for our trip to London a few years ago anywhere. My question is if I can't find it today, should I buy one online and have it overnighted to me or will I easily be able to find one either in JFK or in Rome.

Do you mean a 110V to 230V voltage converter or just a US to EU converter? You'll have no problem finding the latter at JFK or FCO.

Plug sockets do vary across Europe and British ones are different to Italian. So if you have a US-UK adaptor it won't actually be any good in Rome anyway.

1. Check all your items- make sure they are rated 100-250V
2. If #1, then all you need is plug adapters. (Not 'voltage converters'.) Airport will have them, JFK or FCO. or amazon them. I have a '3 to 1' tap that lets me plug three US devices into ONE us plug: http://www.electronicplus.com/images.../1147W-BOX.jpg I take one adapter, for whatever country I am in, then gang all the chargers into that... |
You can buy one at many stores like Target, Best Buy, Office Depot, etc.

I overpaid ($40) for one in JFK, but it allows us to charge two usb and two regular plugins at once.
