75-minute transit in MXP?
 

Hi guys. I was digging through some of the older threads and I'd like to ask whether or not it's possible to make a 75-minute connection in MXP. It's a Schengen-domestic connection (WAW-MXP on LO, MXP-FCO on AZ) and the two itineraries will be booked separately, so I was wondering if it's make-able. I was also thinking of checking my bag in, but if this is too tight, I might as well not do it anymore.

The main thing is to find out which terminal you land in, and which you depart from. It's a big airport. A lot of airlines fly out of a second terminal that you have to take a bus to get to. They don't come that often, and it's a 15-20 minute ride. Plus, you have to go outside of security to take the bus then wait in line to get back in. Check the arrival and departure terminals. No way if you have to change terminals. If you depart from the same terminal it will still be close because it's a big terminal. You'll have to really hustle, and no guarantee. Forget about your bag if you check it. It won't make it.

Both airlines land at Terminal 1A, so I should be able to make it, but I don't know how long are the security lines and stuff. If I won't make it, I have two options:

*I arrive the night before, but I have to find a way to spend twelve hours in MXP
*There's the MXP-JFK flight which departs at noon, but there goes my chance of earning more miles.

i've never had to transit at mxp before so i'm not sure how long a transfer will take from terminal 1b to terminal 2....my flight lands at 1b at 6pm & my next flight is from terminal 2 at 9pm....i'm assuming 3 hours should be sufficient but i'll leave it to the experts here to tell me if that's true....
