‘Operated by Hibernian Airlines’??

Hi all,

ITA recently notified me to let me know that my LIN-BDS and BDS-LIN sectors in May are to be operated by Hibernian Airlines. I know they’re fairly new and operate CRJ 1000s but does anyone have any experience or insight into the onboard service? Ticket is booked in Business so I’m wondering how this will change the experience.

Thanks!

If I read and understood correctly it's practically the same thing as Air-Nostrum. I don't know, however, how the service could be on a domestic route.

Flew Domestic ITA yesterday, on an ITA aircraft...and the service was nill in C. Small 250ml bottle of water during boarding. Nothing else.

I flew some times on Air Nostrum/Hibernian CRJ100 planes (on behalf of ITA) between LIN and BRU and LIN and FRA, in Economy.
Just a glass of water and a salty or sweet snack.
Nothing remarkable in terms of brand image for ITA (and this partially explains why ITA has a market share slightly above 10% in 2022, behind FR, EJ and W6)
They are nevertheless efficient and operations go smooth. Only annoying note for someone: they often require to check in the hand-baggage at gates even when the plane is empty.

Having two ITA flights on the way operated by Hibernian Airlines, does ITA recognize the SkyTeam Plus perks on flights operated by Hibernian Airlines booked with AZ code?

Yes. Hibernian is an ACMI operator. These flights are treated exactly the same as any other AZ flight.

That your attention was even drawn to the fact that the flight is operated by another operator is presumably to satisfy a regulatory requirement.
