To be operated by German Airways, until such time as the A220s (which are on order) are delivered. As things stand ITA are unable to fly to London City, where they have slots, and are only flying to Heathrow, where they are using slots which will revert to Etihad at the end of March. This might strengthen ITA's hand when negotiating with Etihad for the lease of the LHR slots (though presumably not that much, as the airline desperately needs to cling on to Heathrow given that London has been designated of strategic importance).
Good news, anyway, as I'm a regular LIN-LONer for work, and I was growing heartily sick of schlepping to/from Heathrow, especially with no lounge in T2!
