IC Hong Kong

Were you (or for multi-stayers are you generally) happy with the hotel/stay?
Yes, very

Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?
3 nights. First night with points, 2nd and 3rd night with Ambassador Voucher, booked cheapest Harbour View room.
Got my usual upgrade to a junior suite with full harbour view (the one with the two big windows in the middle of the building).

How are the rooms?
Not too big for a junior suite, getting a bit old but very well kept. Great view. Huge bathtub.

How is the exec. lounge?
Great. Good breakfast, great high tea, happy hour still good, but the scaled a bit back (no deserts for example).

Did you receive a welcome gift?
Yes. One tiny pouch of tea, just enough for one pot. Looks a bit cheap.

How was the minibar?
Still very good, but also less content than before (no more expensive cognac etc)

What was good and what was bad?

-Good
View
Service
Upgrade, especially to Harbor view junior suite from points

-Bad
Location is a bit isolated
Hotel is older, but very well kept

Value for $ or Priority Club Points?
Perfect value for points and the voucher, otherwise this place is a bit expensive, even for Hong Kong

Would you return?
Absolutely

Were you (or for multi-stayers are you generally) happy with the hotel/stay?
The two nights I stayed there were good. The staff in the lounge were fun and attentive. Other than that, the stsy was not memerable.

Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?
I booked cheapest room and received a mid floor standard room. I emailed 3 days prior and asked for 2 beds. At check in I was offered a suite or club lounge access. I chose the lounge.

How are the rooms?
It was good. But honestly, 2 weeks later, I don't remember it at all.

How is the exec. lounge?
Great. The staff poured the wine heavy. I liked the breakfast options which included good western and Chinese.

Did you receive a welcome gift?
Lovely chop sticks and fruit.

How was the minibar?
There wasn't much in there.

What was good and what was bad?

-Good
Location, lounge

-Bad
The averageness of the experience.

Value for $ or Priority Club Points?
Around 600Ą a night which I felt was a good value.

Were you (or for multi-stayers are you generally) happy with the hotel/stay?
I stayed here 5 nights and found it to be a comfortable room, great in house restaurant, minimal - yet complementary - lounge access, and very poor housekeeping.

Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?
Booked cheapest (queen bed) amd upgraded to corner suite. The suite is two room with double french door separating the two. The living room has a sink kitchen like counters and a pull out bed in the couch. We had a partial view of the Capitol building. The bathroom is okay size with a tub shower.

How are the rooms?
Described above.

How is the exec. lounge?
Breakfast was consistently good. Happy hour was limited food choices however liquor, wine and champaign are available. The lounge had longer hours than most and open till 11am for breakfast and 530 to 8 for dinner. Beer, sodas and water are available till 10pm.

Did you receive a welcome gift?
No gift and no fruit. The only mention of Royal Ambassador status was at check in which was very fast and smooth.

How was the minibar?
Great. Lovely champagne! It also has white and red wine, 2 shiners, 2 other beers, plenty of spirits, whiskey amd bourbon. The only non alcohol beverages was 2 flavored ice teasand 2 red bull. I would have liked juises.

What was good and what was bad?

-Good
Complimentary lounge access
Roaring Forks restaurant in house
Mini bar

-Bad
My room was cleaned once in 5 days despite requests for additional cleaning and ample time with the do not desturbe sign removed.
I would have liked the mini bar refilled. I asked 4th day and they did.
No gift or fruit.

Value for $ or Priority Club Points?
I spend around $130 per night which I think is great value.

Would you return?
Yes

Yes as always.

Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?
Booked the Deluxe Room Received Two Bedroom Deluxe Residence Suite with Club Access. Usually they don't upgrade to this room from the Deluxe Room, but due to high occupancy of holiday season, They offered 5?6 level upgrade.

Total room size is huge, but each room sizes are smaller than the One Bed Room Residence Suite. 3x 45inch LCD TV, Bose surround audio system, Kitchenette and Washing Machine have equipped. Great mini-bar selections (Japanese SAKE, SUNTORY's high-end Japanese whisky "Hibiki", and the House wine was the 3rd label of Chateau Haut Brion, of course full-bottle! Moreover, recently they added half bottle of Louis-Roederer Champagne in the mini-bar!^^^)

Wow - this is VERY impressive. My most recent experience with IC Osaka was this April, where I had an okay size room, TWG as welcome gift, and the usual (impressive) minibar, with two (very decent) full bottles of white/red and a vintage nihon-shuu. And no lounge access, several times in a row now. But two bottles of Louis Roederer!? I feel like I should revisit them.

Probably this is because the Christmas and I'm regular guest.
Anyway since this Q4, they added half bottle of Louis Roederer in the Mini-bar.
This is the huge advantage. ^

InterContinental Lisbon

What is your IHG Rewards Club status?

Spire Royal Ambassador

Were you (or for multi-stayers are you generally) happy with the hotel/stay ?
Yes, very impressed by the quality of service.

Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?
Booked best advance rate, and had a choice between club room with city view or Executive Suite with Eduardo VII view. I chose this time the latter one.

How are the rooms?
Around 55sqm. More a large room than a suite
Seating area with desk and sofas.
Comfortable bed.
Nice marble bathroom with double sink, bathtub, separate multi-jet shower. Very nice Castelbel amenities (love the smell).
Dressing area.
Flatscreen television with large selection of international channels.
No iPhone dock. Sony mini-chain
Delta expresso machine, kettle
Elegant classic design
Very quiet.
View over the park
Impressive minibar with massive selection of wine, porto wine, champagne, liquors (but strangely no Diet Coke)
Bottle of Porto wine as welcome gift.

How is the exec. lounge?
The lounge has been recently renovated (comfortable, but maybe more Dubai than Lisbon). It is located on the ground floor, next to the reception.
No view but pleasant atmosphere
Great staff
Cold and warm evening canapés and alcohol selection in the evening (but unfortunately only until 7pm)
Good breakfast with ŕ la carte choice
Open until 11pm

What was good and what was bad?

Good
- Central location, 15 minutes walk to the Bairro Alto historical district. Metro station is at 5 minutes walk to the hotel
- Great attentive and smiling staff
- Very good club lounge (evening salads and soups would be welcomed still)

Bad
Nothing

Value for $ or IHG Rewards Club Points? Would you return?
Absolutely.

IC San Juan Puerto Rico

IC San Juan (Puerto Rico)

Were you (or for multi-stayers are you generally) happy with the hotel/stay?

Absolutely!

Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?
Booked a standard room, one night using points, one night paid. Was originally upgraded to a Junior Suite City View for both nights. I called and asked if I could have one of their ocean view suites, and they didn't hesitate. They gave it to me for both nights. What an amazing suite! There are only 2 in the entire hotel, FYI.

How are the rooms?
The suite was beautiful. Newly renovated, separate living room, dining area, and bedroom. Two balconies overlooking the pool area and ocean.

How is the exec. lounge?
The exec lounge was just OK. Basic beer, wine, and snacks. It's located right off the lobby. The thing that bothered me was that they are super strict about their hours. I asked for a beer at 7:35PM and was declined because they put everything away at 7:30.

Did you receive a welcome gift?
Some fruit and a bag of Puerto Rican coffee.

How was the minibar?
Minibar was very good. Premium spirits and wines.

What was good and what was bad?

-Good
Amazing upgrade. Free club access. Beautiful resort, pool, and beach.

-Bad
The casino was a bit small and depressing.

Value for $ or Priority Club Points?
Excellent value on points. It can get a bit expensive though when paying ($300+).

Would you return?
I'd love to!

IC Dallas

IC Dallas

Were you (or for multi-stayers are you generally) happy with the hotel/stay?

Yes, very much so.

Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?
Booked standard, received executive suite.

How are the rooms?
The executive suite is the third highest room category. It's a bi-level suite on the hotel's top floor. The living room is on the bottom floor, and the bedroom is up two sets of stairs above it. I like the design of the room...it makes it feel like an apartment or condo which is nice when you're traveling on business and want to feel at home.

How is the exec. lounge?
The lounge is nice, and very quiet. There is a continental breakfast in the morning, and happy hour each night from 1730-1930. Some wines and a nice selection of beers. There were some snacks, cheese and crackers, fruit, and chicken wings.

Did you receive a welcome gift?
Chocolates and fruit.

How was the minibar?
Minibar is great. Excellent selection of everything. Juices, waters, sodas, energy drinks. Tons of nips, two bottles each of everything else (white wine, red wine, champagne, etc.)

What was good and what was bad?

-Good
Nice upgrade. Free club lounge access. The property itself is beautiful, with a very nice lobby and bar.

-Bad
Nothing. The hotel isn't really near downtown Dallas, but there are a ton of restaurants and shops nearby.

Value for $ or Priority Club Points?
Excellent value. At near $100 per night, this would be an excellent location to spend some nights towards RA qualification. It's one of the cheaper IC locations in the program (similar in price to IC Chicago and IC Tampa). And for around $100 a night you can't beat the room, club lounge, and free mini bar.

Would you return?
Yes, definitely.

please note that IC Chicago is only cheap in the winter, it is more than $250 -300 nightly during the summer

I do agree IC Dallas is a great value with excellent service
