Does anyone know what might post if you do one or two nights on F&F rate and then have a booked, prepaid (normal) rate the last night all at the same property?

I am hopeful that the last night would qualify as a stay as per normal and therefore would be eligible for points and promos. Please advise .

Uh-oh . This is the response I got when I just tried to book at a CP in Australia from the Steve Sickel link:

"An error occurred.

This is for Friends and Family of employees. You are not authorized to book the reservation using Friends and Family rate."

Any ideas of why this is the response? Any way to get around this as the 7 day deadline looms this Friday.

Thanks.

Call the hotel and tell them you have a f&f code when speaking to reservations. Has worked for me before

just two quick questions...
1. i want to book this deal for 8 nights, think that will be ok? the website accepts it fine just wondered if it could cause any issues.
2. i know i get no points, but at a CP or IC, would I get a room upgrade as a plat?
3. do the nights count towards "stay x nights, get x points" bonuses?

thank you

Usually not - but it depends on the hotel.

The nights do not count towards anything as they are non-qualifying.

Many thanks Steve Sickel for being my friend. Booked Crowne Plaza Hong Kong Causway Bay for 8 nights in May and saved 455HK$ or 32.5% off per night ...must say, this seems like a very great rate for new property in a great location in Hong Kong....

Thanks to those FTers who posted helpful suggestions ^. I did exactly what soitgoes suggested and it worked! All booked and about to head off for a nice beach holiday , saving over $100 on the stay.

Will report how it all goes after the stay.

Many thanks.

how is checking in with a F&F discount? I'm going to japan soon and this could be well handy for some nights. I just hope nothing funky's gonna pop up.

then again, i dont think they can stop me from having friends in IGH, or they're not gonna have me call them up, will they?
