Great stay

Have to say I stayed there the other night and thought the hotel was really good! Theres a great pool on the third floor and the staff were all really friendly, the rooms also were a good size! Much better than a normal airport hotel! I will be back!

Here are some real photos taken by a pro photographer..

The GM told me the exterior is still not finished, won't be for a couple of months, the computer renderings on the crowne plaza website show the final result

Second restaurant and bar still not finished though. If I didn't have friends to stay with in Sg I would stay there - better than the tired old hotels in Orchard.

The room itself is fine as long as you do not want to look out the windows and you want to stand 3 feet from the TV to use the remote

I'd much rather stay more central for 50 Sing or so more. The Fairmont had a 280Sing rate the same night I paid 235 IIRC out at the airport.

I have to say that we stayed at this hotel and it was pretty good. The roomk was very nice and comfortable indeed. I liked how the washroom has the glass separation from the room itself. I do have pics and will post them when I get a chance.

IMHO it doesn't look as bad in real life as it does on the pictures. The distance to hotels downtown @ SIN is so short that I don't ever see myself staying at the airport hotel @ SIN.

Has anyone seen any reward nights available at this hotel? I've tried a few random dates and nothing's available.

I stayed there last week and the walk from T3 to the airport is good, totally indoors on the 2nd level, but you then need to go to the first level to ckeck in. No real problem. The real problem I had with the hotel was that once you take the lift to your floor you step completely outside into the heat, and in my case into the rain. OK there was covering overhead, but with how heavy the rain was it was just about covering all the walkway. It was just like being at a cheap motel.

Doubt I'll stay there again

I've booked a Standard King room for a night next month. None of the reviews have mentioned much about upgrades to be expected or other Plat benefits on offer. Anyone have any first hand experience? Do they do upgrades to the Club level as many other CPs offer Plats?

I was there in August and didn't get an upgrade, but I didn't ask either as I only had 6 hours to catch some sleep. No club access offered.

I liked it!

We stayed there in Oct for a 1 night stopover from Manila to London - and we were really happy with the stay. Booked the cheapest room available, upgraded to club room with lounge access. The club lounge was really nice - very modern - hospitable service - comfortable and pretty quiet. The rooms were a good size with contemporary styling. My partner was particularly impressed that he could watch tv while lounging in the (large) bath as there is a glass partition between the bathroom and bedroom.

I would definitely stay there again if on a stopover or on business - however the trip into town is so short that it wouldn't be my choice for a holiday stay. As mentioned above, this is an airport hotel, and one of the better ones I've stayed in

I'm a regular at the hotel (12 nights this year), but yet to be upgraded as a Plat. I have never actually bothered to ask as all the rooms are about the same and Club access is irrelevant at the time I get to the hotel, and normally gone again by 8am.

Thanks, guess I'll take my chances. I get in off my SQ flight around 7p so evening cocktails will be over in the lounge (I'll certainly have eaten well on the flight since its in First), and I head off the next morning at 10a so can always grab breakfast in the SKL.

I stayed here 3 different times in November and was never upgraded as a Plat member. However, every time I checked in there was a handwritten personalized thank you note and some fruit/snack on the desk.
