List of IC hotels that respect RA benefits on AWARD stays
Based on some discussion in another thread, I feel it might be useful to list experiences with IC hotels for RA's on award nights.
Perhaps a format that captures the 3 major benefits: -Upgrade -Complementary Minibar -Club lounge access So to begin: Award night at IC Singapore: -Upgrade: YES, studio suite -Complementary Minibar: YES -Club lounge access: YES |
Award night at IC LE MOANA Bora Bora:
-Upgrade: NO -Complementary Minibar: NO -Club lounge access: NO Award night at IC Mark Hopkins: -Upgrade: YES, 1 bedroom Suite -Complementary Minibar: YES -Club lounge access: YES if not taking suite upgrade Award night at IC Barclay: -Upgrade: YES, Jnr suite -Complementary Minibar: YES -Club lounge access: Dont Know |
Award night at IC Prague:
-Upgrade: YES, 1 bedroom Suite -Complementary Minibar: YES, including snacks -Club lounge access: YES |
IC LeGrand
Upgrade: To a junior suite, which is a very large room for Paris, very well appointed. Same as when paying. Minibar? -- free as an RA on award points including good Champagne. Minibar generally well stocked. Club Floor: No/not offered, but then again I have not found that to be an RA benefit unless there are no suites to upgrade to. You can purchase access to the club for, I think 70 euros (for one)/120 euros (for a couple) per night. No special rate for RA's unlike the Mark Hopkins, for example. |
Woah here - surely every IC hotel has to offer free mini-bar to RA's, regardless of reservation type, you shouldn't even have to enquire about it, just go ahead & take advantage of it - ergo it shouldn't even be a topic for this thread, plus Dino's Bora Bora stay should be reported to IC & compensation given, along with a good ticking-off by IC to the hotel? Or am I missing something?

http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=433611 Please lets not turn this thread into a debate and keep it on topic, I will edit out my and tristans comments out in a day or so so we have a great thread like the RA upgrades one :) if any one wants to start a new thread discussing the lack of benefits on reward nights by all means do so, but I will keep this one on topic :) Cheers Dino |

Is free mini bar only applicable in IC or are Holiday Inns included. |

Neither AMBASSADOR nor ROYAL AMBASSADOR benefits apply to stays at non-IC branded properties. This is always clearly stated in red on your reservation confirmation for HIs, HIXs, CPs et al. Now moderator, for the integrity of this thread, leave this up for a couple of days and then please delete this and the original message I responded to. |
