Smile Received our Ambassador Club's 25000 Delta SkyMiles!

It worked! Overnight my wife and I both received our Ambassador Club's 25000 Delta SkyMiles! We are both regular/lowest-level SkyMiles members. We joined Ambassador and were confirmed a couple of weeks ago. I understand from previous posts that they are posting miles in 2 sweeps .... one this week and one the second week of September.

For those interested in reading a LOT (47 pages as of when this is written) about this subject there is a ton of info on a thread over on Delta. Many of us are receiving 25,000 plus 5,000 plus 1,250 DL miles (or 5K PC miles for some instead of the last 1,250 DL miles) for the $150 Ambassador yearly fee. These miles posted within 20 days of signing up, not the 6-8 weeks that was announced originally. Quite remarkable. Kudos to IC and DL.

Email confirmation?

I signed up on August 19th. No email confirmation. I thought the website indicated there would be one. I would appreciate your comments. Thanks.

I think it can take a while. The program has been inundated. My credit card was charged 3 Aug., and my miles were in my Delta account on 20 Aug. I think they might not be working on weekends. WAG

Signed up Mrs. USAFAN last week. No email yet ....
When you already have a Priotity Club Acc., you can look up, if you are "Ambassador".

What a great promo!

Signed up my mother via internet on 8-10-2004.
Credit card charged on 8-19-2004.
Ambassador status showed in Priority Club account on 8-19-2004.
25,000 Delta Skymiles posting showed in Priority Club account on 8-26-2004.
25,000 Delta Skymiles showed up in Delta Skymiles account on 8-27-2004.
Waiting on "blue box" welcoming kit to come in the mail (expect next week based on the results of my account and my wife's account).

What a great promo!

And, with the mass of applications submitted, what a wonderful/timely job of processing by IC customer service!

Excuse my ignorance, but what is this promotion. Please explain. I do not have a DL account as I almost never fly them but I am an AMB Plat member. Can I get a free set of 25K points on this airline? If so, I will open an instant account. Tell me how.

I signed up on Aug 28th.
AMEX was charged Sept 3rd. Think I'll still get the 25k?
