Have IHG closed any hotels: CV19

If we can keep a list of any hotels IHG close because of CV19, I have noticed a few other chains have or are closing there doors within the next few days,

The Holiday Inn Ariel at London LHR is "block booked" for quarantine use according to the UK news:
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-51526875
https://www.mylondon.news/news/west-...-used-17829673

Online the hotel has no availability and is blocked out until 16 April, so I suppose it fits your question.

Personally, I know of Intercontinental Ljubljana as I just stayed there a little over a week ago and they were prepping for a close (now indicated on the web site).

I believe all hotels in Spain are closed or are imminently closing, and I believe there should be significant closings in Germany.

OK call me Dumb,

but whats the difference what hotel/s are closed, is anyone traveling for biz or leisure nowadays or in the near future, no one I know. And if a hotel says they closed till April1st, thats meaningless to me since if the situation doesnt do a 180 degree turn by then they will simply extend the closure

Now a list of Hotels that are out of business = Closed for good I could understand

I have a return trip to Rochester MN coming in the next couple of months. Like it or not, I'm traveling (likely that we'll be driving). Hopefully our stay will be less than a week, but we'll stay there for as long as it takes. It's *very* important for me to be on top of who will be open and who won't.

I dont think anyone can tell you today what will be in 2 months let alone next week. Many hotels that didnt shut on a temp basis will probably close depending on their occupancy rate, some will remain open if they next to hospitals or factorys turning out needed supplys, that doesnt mean they will have any rooms to sell

A post above saying The Kimpton in KW has closed, well thats true but ALL hotels in Monroe County have been ordered to close (All The Keys), which wasnt the case on Friday. As each day passes more and more Citys and States are changing the conditions of what can be open and till what time and as more and more cases pop up you can bet the restrictions wont be relaxed

Now if you were heading there next week that would be a totally different story

I'm travelling for business this week, my employer hasn't given me the choice. HI is still open, if it wasn't for my companies bookings they have said they would close. Bar, restaurant & gym closed, room service to the door only. I can't wait!!

IHG turns over two London hotels to the homeless for self-isolating

The Mayor of London has secured a deal with IHG to take over two of its London hotels for the next 12 weeks.

Rough sleepers in London will be encouraged to move into the hotels, with FreeNow and Gett offering free transfers to those who take up the offer. The homeless are seen as a high risk group for coronavirus due to their increased likelihood of having underlying health conditions and difficulties over social distancing and frequent hand washing.

The hotel rooms, of which there are 300 in total, have been provided at what is called a ‘substantially discounted rate’.

The hotels have not been named but a quick look at ihg.com shows that the following six hotels are currently unbookable. Four are presumably closed for commercial reasons and it isn’t clear which two are being used by the Mayor:

{apoligies for the large cut and paste but there was nothing else I could add or take away from the text)

Because of new Government restrictions now in place there are unlikely any hotels open in the UK from today. The announcement said it would be reviewed in three weeks time.

My comment is think more towards three months.

Palazzo & Venetian in Las Vegas are closed. Also, Holiday Inn Club Vacations in Las Vegas thru April 17 (also Tahoe Ridge and David Walley's in Lake Tahoe, Nevada).
I was at the Staybridge Suites Las Vegas last week. They were hoping to get some of the closed Nevada casino hotel business but looking at rates, I don't think there is much business. They've also modified the way they serve food. Breakfast is now served from 6:30 AM to 8:30 AM only. It's also served by staff. You can't serve yourself anything including drinks. The Monday-Wednesday evening food is cancelled until further notice, also.

After having two reservations cancelled, I found that the following in Yorkshire and NE England appear closed until 31st May 2020 (apart from Principal York – see below):

HI Express Middlesbrough Centre Square

Hotel Indigo Durham

CP Harrogate

CP Newcastle – Stephenson Quarter

HI Express - Newcastle Metro Centre

HI Express - Newcastle City Centre

Hotel Indigo – Newcastle

Principal York* Re-opens 15th May 20 currently.

Hotel Indigo Walmgate York

HI Express Malton Road York

HI Express Leeds City Centre

HI Express Leeds East

CP Leeds

The Met Leeds

HI Express Bradford City Centre

Hi Express Hull City Centre

HI Hull Marina

Hi Express Doncaster

Hi Express Grimsby

Most of the Holiday Inn branded hotels (with the odd exception above) in Yorkshire/NE England currently appear to be operating normally at this time.
