How to post

1. Do not use the "Reply with Review Button" but the regular one

2. Put the name of the hotel in the title of the post and the thread

3. Use the following format by extracting it, ie by using "reply quoting", copying the content into memory, then backing out of "reply quoting" and then pasting the copied content into a new post. Each line is formatted so that you can paste in between them having deleted these opening comments:

Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?
There were bookings for two rooms, one booking for a couple using points and a paid booking for one guest. Both were for King deluxe rooms, though the points one showed as 'Garden View' and the paid one as 'Bay View'.
Our non-status friend checked-in before us and was given the choice of a Junior Suite or the Deluxe King Bay View and generously took the King leaving us with the Junior Suite.
The 4pm late-check out was applied to both rooms as was the 2,000yen voucher that could be applied to F&B excepting room service.
How are the rooms?
Spectacular, with great attention to detail in both the design and the finish. And of course it's all new but they've clearly invested well and it should age well. There's a nice maritime motif that runs through the design not only of the room but of all the hotel.
How is the exec. lounge?

What was good and what was bad?
All good excepting the dinner that we took at the restaurant Larbaord(?) on the first night. Food was fine but the service was a little lacking. Made up for that with excellent room service and fun cocktails at the bar. It should be noted that the on-site food options are slim. If you are looking for variety the in-room TV menu pointed you to the options at the nearby Intercontinental Grand, which has the full smorgasbord of choices a Grand Old Dame type hotel should. I'd assume you can cross charge though I didn't check. Apart from the restaurant there was also a pricey looking sushi place, though we didn't try it. Food options are plentiful anyway in and around the nearby Red Brick Warehouses (a UNESCO site) and the hotel itself sits on top of the new Hammerhead shopping mall.
Staff were generally young, friendly and they made for a very enjoyable stay.
Taxis needed to be ordered, it was a little over 1,000yen to get to the JR Yokohama/Keikyu line station, from which you can go direct to Haneda.
Felt very secure, you needed a card to enter the hotel and another to enter your floor.
You could go up to the rooftop, I think it was open to anybody, and enjoy the 8pm firework show. Not sure if that is seasonal or all year.
Room service: the eggs benedict was one of the best I've had. Overcame the difficulty of choosing between ham or salmon by giving one of each.
Value for $ or Priority Club Points? Would you return?
Points were great value and even the paid stay which was booked late in the day at the highest of high seasons represented good value.
I'd return here in a heartbeat.

Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive? We booked the cheapest club room and received a two level upgrade to a deluxe suite.

How are the rooms? There was a bit of flaking paint around two of the balcony doors but otherwise in good nick. Our suite was on a corner so had three balconies. Living area had sofa and armchair round a coffee table, dining table and three chairs plus a desk and fourth chair. The TV is on the small side. This didn’t bother us as we didn’t fly to Malta to be glued to the gogglebox all weekend. Separate sleeping area with huge bed and wardrobe. Bathroom had a jacuzzi bath and separate rain fall shower. Amenities were Agraria 100ml.

How is the exec. lounge? Lovely as always. Breakfast with egg order menu from 6.30-10.30. Afternoon tea between 2.30-4.30. Evening drinkies from 5.30-7.30. Substantial canapés in the evening.

What was good and what was bad? Welcome points posted quickly. Given two drinks vouchers for Waterbiscuit at check in plus €15 bill credit. Received a lovely welcome amenity, including vino, fruit, candy, chocs and water. Two new bottles of water were delivered on our second day. BA flight times from LGW are excellent for a weekend break, left 8am Friday and returned 8.10pm Sunday. Large and well equipped gym plus lovely indoor pool. A member of the hotel management team was in the lounge in Saturday night seeking feedback so I mentioned the flaking paint and he immediately offered to swap our room.

Value for $ or Priority Club Points? Would you return? Low season so club room cost just £90/night. Compare this with £55/night at HIX next door and staying here is a no brainer.

Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?
Booked Classic/Standard. upgraded to 1Bed Suite (x4 upgrade) night before arrival. Arrived quite early, room wasn't ready (and wasn't expecting it to be).Was given a large Exec room, also very nice and a x3 upgrade.
How are the rooms?
Great. Overlooking park lane and hyde park. Large king bed, sofa and coffe table. Small office space etc. Not the new refurbished Mayfair room, but still very nice.
How is the exec. lounge?
N/A
What was good and what was bad?
No complaints! Feel welcomed and recognized as a long time regular.
Value for $ or Priority Club Points? Would you return?
Yes with my rate absolutely.

IC Bangkok - booked two stays for a total of 8 nights which were combined for January 6-10 & 10-14, 2020.

Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?Booked a King and a double rooms for 4 nights twice on points. At check in upgraded for a fee ($100++ per night) to a corner suite for the king room and got Club benefits for both rooms - double room for the kids was attached to our corner suite.

How are the rooms? Dated but clean and comfortable and being on a high floor minimum central Bangkok noise. Attached rooms provided 180 degree of central Bangkok facing the polo club and the Waldorf Astoria skyscraper. When we opened the connecting door, we had a vast apartment-like space that occupied the entire side of the hotel for that floor.

How is the exec. lounge? Attentive service and great offerings at breakfast, teatime and happy hour. Wife and children partook happy hour at the Balcony Lounge on the first floor due to alcohol serving at the 37th floor IC Club.

What was good and what was bad? Breakfast at Espresso was also good and the treatment overall was excellent. The concierge provided hard-to-find soccer match tickets for the Asia U23 tournament. Everything was good.

Value for $ or Priority Club Points? Would you return? Great value for what we got. Burned 480K IHG points + $780 for the cash upgrade for 8 days. IHG is supposed to refund 96K IHG points (20%) due to Ambassador status and the IHG-affiliated credit card. Will definitely return on our next trip!
