IHG Accelerate Q1 2018 (1st January to 30th April)

It keeps redirecting me when i click the link. I can't seem to access the Q1 promo.

Will be interesting to see when the Kimpton integration happens. I'm an IC and changing Q1 stays over to IHG properties would be a lot more attractive if I had Spire status recognized.

Easy enough but tbh I’m getting a bit bored of these now.

I'm a bit confused as to whether or not we can actually start booking these now in order to meet the requirements (assuming we stay between the January 1st and April 30th dates). The T&C's of most of my goals don't seem to mention the date of booking, but then for my goal of "Spend on Your IHG® Rewards Club Credit Card" it says "Number of bonus points listed above will be awarded when you purchase a qualified night Stay with your IHG® Rewards Club Credit Card between 1 January 2018 and 30 April 2018 (both dates inclusive)." To me that could possibly be interpreted as meaning it should only be booked starting January 1.

Anyway, here's my list:

2,000 - Stay once
10,000 - 5 nights
28,800 - 3 brands
3,600 - 1 stay in a big city (NYC, Chi, DC, LA, Orl, SF)
1,500 - book and pay for 1 stay with cc
18,000 - Achievement bonus (4 of 5 above)
5,000 - Refer a friend and they log a stay by April 30
2,000 - Stay once in January

Total 70,900

I also have had no success - the URL re-directs me to a standard Offers Page with no mention of Q1 2018.

For those getting redirects, try a different browser. I had this problem in Chrome but when I switched to Safari it worked OK. You should see two tick boxes appear on the top right hand side which you must accept. Then you can click the REGISTER button.

Not working for me regardless of browser.

Older version (the last one for Windows XP/etc) of Firefox worked for me from SoCal.

I got similar to what I got last cycle, except no brand-specific stuff this time and instead a Redeem for Something task (which can be a 300 point digital download whether I need one or not :) ). I can get a bit around 35k by staying one night paid in January, paying for that night with IHG credit card, doing any kind of Redemption, plus doing a point + cash stay.

Doesn't work on my Windows PC, tried using Mac Safari successfully reregistered. Thanks for posting.

I have that language for that task as well and I interpret that to mean that the charge date on the credit card has to be within the promo period. So there would perhaps only be issues for pre-paid stays if a property actually does charge in advance.

Worse is that on ONE (but only one) of my stay related tasks (the Weekend stay one), it seems to indicate that the booking has to take place during the promo period:

"Number of bonus points listed above will be awarded after member books and consumes required number of Qualifying Stays, including a Saturday Stay and for a minimum of 2 nights, between 1 January 2018 and 30 April 2018 (both dates inclusive)"

Compare that to the language on all my other stay related tasks, such as:

"Number of bonus points listed above will be awarded after the required number of qualifying room nights have been consumed by the member at any IHG brand hotels between 1 January 2018 and 30 April 2018 (both dates inclusive)"

I have more than met all requirements for every single Accelerate Promo except this last one.

So, I think that IHG might see that in this offer in that I have never been offered this many points for such little activity.

Also, what is with the "24,000 points after night 12"? Does that mean ont he 13th night I get those extra bonus points?

I am at 81 nights for 2018 total, but almost all of them were before July 1.
