IHG 50% Off Sale?

I read about a 50% off Winter sale and was wondering if anybody here has any experience or whatever?

Found it here: http://loyaltylobby.com/2016/11/19/i...y-december-15/

Seems like a good deal if the rates are points earning.

Did the last winter sale earn you points and stay credit?

The sale is Europe only, unfortunately for me.

Not sure if it earns. When making a dummy booking there is no info on points accrual. Make a standard revenue booking and it states base points.

I've been looking at an Indigo in London for a long weekend in January and priced it out with that winter sale vs the regular price on the IHG website. The sale price is ‎Ł121.67 and the Rewards Club Advance Purchase rate is Ł124.82 - not much of a savings.

Is this rate really, as the article says, "open for all"? It looks pretty much targeted to me.

What would one put on the voucher under "Company/organisation that provided you with this discount" if you are not connected to the NHS?

This is very similar to the Mastercard discount rate. It says you need a voucher, but from experience, no-one asks for this. NHS is the largest employer in UK, so not really targeted! No points on this rate, though.

Yes, the T&C is split for 50%/30%/20%. There is a sentence confirming points
accrument on 20/30% but the sentence disappear under 50%. Suppoose there
is no point earned on this.

But 20/30% might be unattractive compared to the advance sales.
