Oh well, guess it is set up that way and I will get a few points out of it.
I have the opposite problem. I am in Australia and in order to meet the 4 brands and Get out there requirements i will need to be in another country I have no plans on travelling to. Hmm..

I'm PLT with 130+ nights stayed this year in 1-2 hotels and just got the following:

Stay 1 night at any IHG hotel: 1,000 points
Stay a total of 30 nights at any IHG hotels: 14,400 points
Stay at 4 different IHG brands: 24,000 points
Take a survey: 100 points
Stay 14 Saturday nights: 16,800 points
Win big (do all of them): 56,000 points

I'm guessing these offers are based on my past behavior (i.e. I live in an IHG hotel full-time but rarely venture into other brands... they know I'll have no trouble staying 14 Saturdays or 30 nights overall, the only thing that may give me trouble is 4 different brands but that shouldn't be too hard).

One thing I'm not clear on though...

If I change my earning preferences to AAdvantage miles, would this be treated the same as regular accrual? So if I earned 112,000 points from this it would essentially be like 22,400 AAdvantage miles?

Question! If I book two rooms for the same night (say Saturday) at the same hotel (if I reserve it separately, so two reservation numbers), will I get 2 qualifying nights or just 1?

6 nights for 116k points!

I think I got a pretty good deal

1. Try one and done - 1000
2. Stay more and earn more - 10600 for 6 nights
3. Explore our brands - 36000 for 3 brands
4. Survey the win - 100
5. Book with us - 2 stays for 3600
6. Win in a weekend - 2 Saturdays for 7200 points
7. Spend it to get it - Pay with PC Visa 1 stay - 2300
8. Win big - 58000 points

I didn't get the City Life which I think makes is much easier. The problem is I've got no travel in the upcoming few months so these would all be mattress runs. I think I could pull it off with 3 weekend stays. Being in the DC area, I could do it all for about $400.

Worth it?? The wife doesn't think so.

Urgh, website's being slow for me. Tried it on Chrome and IE and neither seems to be letting me see my offer.

This is what I've gotten:

Stay 1 - 1k points
4 nights - 6.4k points
2 brands - 12k points
mobile&web - 4k points
Survey- 100 points
Stay 2 @ city hotels - 4.8k points
spend US$26 to get 400points
stay 1 resort - 6000 points
Complete all - 35k points

Total: 69700 points

The 2 stays at city hotels and 1 resort would be my bane.

My deal:

Try 1 (any) 1000 points
11 Nights 13,000 points
4 brands 24,000 points
Survey 100 points
Get out there - Stay at 2 selected European Hotels 10,800 (mostly major cities)
$320 USD on F&B at any hotel 2,000
Getaway at a Resort x 2 10,800
Do all and Win Big (x2)

A few specific Questions:

Is a Holiday Inn resort a separate brand to a Holiday Inn? (otherwise there are only 3 brands in Australia).

The "Spend $320USD on food or beverage at any IHG® hotel" requirement is difficult to interpret. Do they mean "spend $320 in a single sitting?" Can i spend $320 at a hotel over several stays?

Also, i have a reward booking for several of us on the 3 nights leading up to to New Years Ever where this seems pretty doable. Any reason why that wouldn't count (either because it is an award booking or because we are checking out of New Years Day?)

I don't actually have a trip to Europe planned is the only problem.

Instead of asking on forum, just click on terms for each task presented in your tailored offer which will answer all your questions

Madrid, Gran Via (??? Opening April 2014)

Crowne Plaza, AmsterdaSouth

Munich, Messe

InterContinental, Aven Marceau

Holiday Inn, Heathrow

But also a link to List of participating hotels, can I also pick 2 from this list or only 2 of the 5 they suggest?
Click on your personally tailored offer T+C for each particular task. On Cities task iniital cities task screen for me showed 6 sample cities with 8 sample hotels

BUT .. T+C's gives longer list of cities tailored to my offer and link to list of participating hotels in each of those cities to choose from... i wont bother will cost me european flights and about 300euro extra for 3rd/4th cities over regular cities of Amsterdam + London.

Along with needing 8 Saturday nights on my tailored set, I am totally pissed off, no point giving a go unless you get the big-win bonus, and no way i can do 8 saturdays in Sep/oct/nov and december is off limits.

It doesn't list HI resorts as a separate brand (which seems to clear that up) but it doesn't specifically on the food and beverage ones...

Number of bonus points or miles listed above will be rewarded after the member reaches the required spend (or its equivalent in local currency) on Food or Beverage between 1 September 2013 and 31 December 2013(both dates inclusive) at InterContinental®, Crowne Plaza®, Hotel Indigo®, Holiday Inn®, Holiday Inn Express®, Staybridge Suites®, Candlewood Suites®, Even® or Hualuxe® hotels worldwide. Food or Beverage spend applies to additional in-hotel spend during your stay and must be charged to the room bill at check out. This offer does not apply any food included in the room rate, for example 'bed & breakfast' or 'dinner, bed & breakfast' rates.

My personalised offer is STUPID STUPID STUPID ... all I will benefit from is 1k for first stay.

It is only going royally piss myself and others off when I see A N Other saying, they will get
o 30K for two IHG Brands stays
o 6K for booking 2stays at IHG.COM 'book with us' task

Surely the extremely dumb IHG marketing department should have realised, we would post our offers on the various user forums, and such big disparities will really upset some elites, especially elites like me whose targetted tasks are unrealistic/un-obtainable....

IN FACT ,,, just one unobtainable task prevents the big win as it is impossible to get the final bonus and if you can't get that final bonus, it is not worth attempting the 'stretch' targets on the barely doable tasks.

I would interpret as $320 1st Sep - Dec 31st as at total f+b spend over multiple nights/stays, at multiple hotels, even without seeing your personalised task t+c.

As unless Michelin star restaurant in hotel, a 1-2 night stay would not come to $320 in food/drink incidentals and would thus only otherwise occur at one hotel on lengthier stays.

I'd ensure I spend $320++ tax/vat though, based on how IHG only give points on ex-vat portion of incidental spend on ones stays

Thanks. That seems easily doable. Doing it over one stay seems completely nuts!
