So I finally got into a Brg for a luxury prestige suite . I'm trying to impress my mum here so I want to go check in at the VIP section . As a RA I have access correct? Also what type of UG so I be expecting people quoting two cat . The prestige level on 23 if I'm correct does it have good views over the strip and does it get really busy there? I got tired of going to Hilton lounges and it seemed like a zoo

It can get quite busy in the prestige lounge - I'm assuming you're at the Palazzo? It did when I was there, but I think it also depends on the 'season' in Vegas.

You should get a Fortuna Suite, which I've stayed in. It's super.

Also, as you've booked into Prestige level, skip everything and head to the 23rd floor to check in at the lounge desk area. Much better

Yes booked the luxury prestige at the palazzo. I thought the V.I.P area was going to be a good move. If I go straight up to the 23rd floor to check In do I need to tell anyone porters , etc where I'm going when I drop off the car? Also has anyone made good use of the personal assistant . I was going to request unpacking and packing but not sure what else I can make use of here. I know at st. Regis properties they make and deliver cuppacinos and hot chocolates complimentary is it the same here.

The fortuna suite looks amazing last time I was here I stayed in a fountain view suite at the Cosmo I thought was really good. Does it have a balcony ?

upgrade is very variable at this hotel. I was RA, and last year got upgraded from a prestige deluxe to a prestige deluxe "with view", and entirely made up category (its not a bookable room). I queried it via email, but they refused to upgrade further, and also did not upgrade on arrival. Mines was a 3rd party booking, but RA is honoured on 3rd party bookings, and I was at least paying money as opposed to a BRG booking.

Others have reported genuine 2 room upgrade, to be fair the prestige deluxe room was more than fine. You can check-in @ VIP room (which is to the right of the main checkin desk). We stay 3 nights here and 3 nights at the venitian, and were able to check-in to the venitian as we checked-out of the palazzo in the vip area, with them even handling our baggage transfer direct from room to room.

You can check in using the VIP area to the left, but I think it's easier and more relaxing to head up to the 23rd floor, that's just me. Just mention to the porters that you are booked into the prestige level and they'll point you in the direction where to go and take your bags so your don't have the drag them across the casino floor infront of everyone - exactly what I did.

It doesn't have a balcony, but I did have strip facing views infront of TI.

You get various benefits at prestige level. Movie with popcorn and drinks etc went down well with my wife. Of course Ambassador/RA you get a free movie rental.

Enjoy it! ^

What about the personal assistant or butler service ? Did anyone use it? Being from oz I'm not familiar with tipping so if I do use their services to unpack do I give a $5 or just leave it.
As for valet parking is there any extra charges? I know it's included in the resort charges but because I'm under a BRG I wonder if I will still be asked to pay for this.
I'm driving up from the Intercon century city so Im planning about a 3 hour journey is that about right? I wanted to also go to the outlets I recall seeing something on the way or is it better to wait until I reach Vegas,

No balconies here - you normally get a 2 level upgrade as RA but their written policy is actually 1 level upgrade guaranteed and 1 further level subject to availability (as all of the rooms are classed as suites, then the 1 level upgrade does comply with RA rules).

Closer to 5 hours from LA I would have thought, unless you hit traffic

I had to pay for a similar TI strip view on my last stay in August/September, it was something like $40 a night to move from Prestige Siena Suite to Prestige Siena suite with view. I did however pay on this trip for the room category 2 types below the Siena Suite as the property confirmed to me that they would not upgrade me further beyond the Siena suite I had originally booked.

I thought the Prestige benefits were poor value to be honest and you can certainly get better value for breakfast and evening drinks and nibbles for $80 a night in more pleasant surroundings elsewhere. I wasn't aware of any other significant benefits beyond those of RA apart from the lounge.

I booked Palazzo basic and was upgraded to bella suite.
do they upgrade again on checkin?
does this mean I am now at the Venetian?
will I get any type of club/breakfast as RA?

I know the booking system has had issues in the past. If one booked Palazzo it showed a Bella Suite at the Venetian. Easiest way is to call and check the hotel itself and they will help confirm the room you are actually in.

IME I usually get a call from VIP services at the hotel a few days ahead of time stating the room upgrade and asking if I have any questions. You can ask about additional upgrades or note any special occasions at that time.

You will get access to the VIP Lounge as an RA. They have some light snacks (tea sandwiches) and continental items throughout the day. This is also where you will be able to check-in and out of the hotel when you stay.

Same question as markis10

I will be there on nov23-25,looks like good availability at both. Which of the two should I book? And what room category?

Is there a difference in the lounges? (ie is the Prestige the only Club lounge in Palazzo?)

It sounds like upgrades are hit or miss, so is booking the higher categories worth it to get a better upgrade?

I guess I also need to understand the Prestige level.

Do RA's get loung access regardless of category booked?

Are benifits honored with Bogo's?

thx

You always have to pay for Prestige at an effective $80 per night. You do not get an upgrade as a RA. It is absolutely not worth $80 per night.

Palazzo is the nicer property.

They pretty much upgrade as they feel like. The maximum upgrade is to a Siena suite (I had to pay an extra $50 per night fr a strip view).

RAs get access to the "VIP lounge" which is not much of a lounge IMHO.
