i think i read somewhere on this thread that full ra benefits would only be extended on the paid night & not on the free nights....can someone confirm this????
I can confirm that on the letter I was given at checkin it stated no benefits on awards.I have experienced it first had on my last 2 stays.
I think they will allow you the minibar on the paid night but def not on the award.they are very specific

I was just looking at this thread as I'm wanting to stay in Rome in October.

Last time I stayed there, 2 years ago, I booked a double room with an inner balcony and was upgraded (as an ambassador) to a junior suite with a huge terrace, which was exceptionally nice. It sounds like I was lucky, but I think I am likely to give it a go again. Either that or the Sofitel.

Just a quick Q- does this hotel allow you to store/leave your bags prior to check-in? My flight gets in at 9am and since I'm only a Plat, I doubt they would let me check-in early. Can I leave my bags somewhere before I check-in in the afternoon?

Yes certainly. This is a luxury hotel and has a very good bell staff.

I have never felt it was a LUXURY hotel.

To me this hotel is a two stars hotel occupied on a five star location.

I'd give it more than 2, and it's got a luxury like feel but agree it isn't 100% pure luxury.

It cannot be more central as IC De La Ville is up to the Spanish steps.

I have no idea where the Hilton Garden Inn is located, but a quick look ar Google maps will give you an answer.
