This is very similar to most airline/hotel programs that operate on calendar year schedules. If you qualify in year X, you have status for the remainder of year X, for all of year X+1, and often for 1-2 months of year X+2.
If this is newly-qualified platinum status (i.e., not an extension) you will get a new 2009 card shortly. Next year, you will get your 2010 card.

if u had got the platinum status on the 1st of jan , you would still retain it untill dec 2010 , however if u achieve ambassador status , its valid only for 12 months from the date of achieving the status
yes , they will send you a new card
holiday inn and holiday in express and crowne plaza are not considered an IC hotel , you need 3 stays at an IC hotel after you register for the ambassador stay 3 offer to get ambassador status

Remember, the T&Cs say 'Priority Club points do not apply'.

The two different rates give different results, for example the "Exclusive Rate" gives nothing in Istanbul whereas "Exclusive Prepaid A" gives a discount at the IC there.

Not exactly the same - http://www.ichotelsgroup.com/h/d/6c/...rateCode=IKEX2 is the "Exclusive Rate" whereas http://www.ichotelsgroup.com/morrisons is the "Exclusive Prepaid A".

All people are looking for the opportunity and loss
No difference between the Arab or European or Asian
And also no difference between rich and poor
Do you agree?
Thanks

Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) has new Intercontinental
I heard InterContinental Saigon is opening soon in September 2009, as I'm looking for a hotel to stay in my next business trip and found this information, their opening rate is around US 190 to 200, beside the reasonable rate, I hope they will have plenty of promotions for the opening including points....

Hah! All the people I know who stay at these hotels in the Kingdom are working for corporations who are seriously trying to cut costs. I agree they should have more ME promos.

Maybe they'll have some Point Break nights to celebrate their opening!

I have no doubt that they will increase their rates after the opening period, so I may take this opportunity to experience their service in Vietnam. The InterContinental is actually a good brand, I’ve stayed in InterContinental in Paris, Hong Kong, Singapore and Thailand (and I am their PCR member now), their service was excellent and hotel facilities were very nice. So I think the one in Saigon much be very good too or even better because it’s new.
