The terms and conditions state "Priority Club points do not apply". I assume this means that the stays under this rate are non-qualifying? Any experience?

By the way: Although HI/HIX are listed above, the webpage also shows the CP logo. In addition, I have also seen ICs that offer this rate.

Thanks, demiurg. I've updated the brand list for this rate.

Sticky ?

It would be good idea if this thread could be pinned as a sticky.
It would save having to search down through all the threads to locate it.
For those that don't know it exists it would be easier to find these codes.

Are we sure the AARP rate is in fact for AARP?

AARP's membership is 50 plus and AARP's web site lists no discount for IC hotels.
The link appears to offer a senior rate for 62 plus, which is a big difference.

IHG's "Senior Discount" rate includes those with membership in any retired persons organizations (including AARP) or those 62 and older.

From the rate explanation link on a Priority Club reservations page:
Senior Discount

DESCRIPTION:
Senior Discount rate is available for guests 62 years and older or with valid membership ID of a retired person organization. Proof of eligibility required at check in.

PLEASE NOTE:
Proof of eligibility is required at check in.

Thanks. I've added more information in the original post.

The T & C for gov't rates does not exclude leisure trips - at least I could not find it.
Also, I was able to book IVIDS-rated rooms for longer than 5/7 days. I wonder if this limitation enforced.
Thanks again!

The only information I found is here . See text below "Make an Industry Discount Reservation". Also, the rate description is usually something like "RATE IS AVAILABLE FOR TRAVEL AGENTS ONLY WHO CAN PRESENT A VALID IATA ID OR TRAVEL AGENT ID CARD AT CHECK IN".
