Reward nights - hotel taxes/service charges
We will be staying at IC in Cozumel.
They have a daily $10.00 service charge, a resort fee and taxes.
Do you pay these on reward stays or is that part of a reward stay.

While not a resort, when I stayed on rewards nights at the CP Times Square, I've gotten them free. (NYC charges 13.7% tax + $3.50 on all stays) Again, make sure you call PC first and get anything in writing.

I have NEVER paid any sales tax or service fee on a points stay.
This is dating back to 1985, when PC began.
I might have been dinged for parking or internet access, but never taxes, tourist fees nor "service fees".

I have never been asked to pay taxes but at a Crowne Plaza or HI have paid $10 per night resort fees or paid for parking a few times as well....
