Staying at this IC this weekend for the Chicago marathon.
Reviews sound decent.
Anybody else staying there this event?

Posted update about my stay this past weekend over on the RA sticky thread. Sounds like I got the same type of small suite as jdevan00 which was quite suitable for my needs. Enjoyed a soak in the tub overlooking the SunTimes building and Michigan Avenue/River looking south. Very nice welcome gift/amenity for AMBASSADORs, or at least RAs: usual basket of fruit but very large designer decanter of EVIAN water, nicely boxed truffles.

IC Chicago-Any Less Expensive Parking Nearby?
Hi all. I was wondering if anyone has stayed at the IC Chicago and found parking nearby for less than the $41/nt rate the hotel charges. I am totally willing to walk a few blocks for a more reasonable rate. I know Chicago parking rates are out of control but figured I'd ask anyway :-). Thanks.

Any update on the cost of the Ambassador airport transfer service for the IC Chicago? This would be from O'Hare.

IC Chicago - what is the best deal for a RA?
1 KING HISTORIC TOWER $264.20
2 DOUBLE BEDS HISTORIC TOWER $264.20
DELUXE ROOM $289.85
1 KING EXECUTIVE SUITE MAIN BUILDING $289.00
what is the best deal to get a good upgrade?

Booking the exec suite would put you two levels below the 1 SOFA BED HISTORIC TOWER, which would make that a pretty standard RA upgrade if available. Plus it's really not that much more. I guess it really depends on what you consider a 'good' upgrade and how full you expect the hotel to be.

From my experience, RAs get a king suite in the historic tower as their basic upgrade, so why book it? Go for a standard king.
