I remember the charge for use of the sauna area for hotel guests without access to the Club, when I went there with some of my colleagues.
But is the first time I hear about the EUR 10 charge for the swimming pool area :-(
Regarding using the minibar for my personal needs at this hotel, I usually ask for the minibar to be emptied when I checkin.

Thanks to Phantomchickenz81 for posting this as I was wondering about this as well. - Am due to stay there in a couple of weeks (countng down to when I can call to hopefully use my CSU)
So the spa include the pool? or are they separate?
I'm going to use my lounge access there next month and as that includeds the club it will cover these charges?

Although 2 years ago and across the North Sea,
it was also treats at IC O2 London

but thanks many on FT and also very persistent local vocal voices,
that nonsense has been erased

Per HfP:
An interesting trend is that some Hilton's across the UK in 2024 are also monetizing pool access:
https://www.headforpoints.com/2024/0...h-pool-charge/
A carbon offset scheme?
A participation fee for improvements?
Donations for upkeep & rising energy costs?
A new exclusive à la carte choice to ensure exclusivity and ambient pool relaxation ?
A shrewd money grab by management and Hilton corporate observing if this scheme could be exported & deployed to the US hotels?
A tip with the toe in moving in EU to unbundling or even institution of resort / amenity fees?
----
just a side note cultural industry observation
Japanese hotels tend to charge fees for their pools too:
- although i can never swim in Japan - *tattoos* - i had to pay to get access too even while monitoring my 2 lads who went to swim
so the trend could be that as charging for pools at Japanese hotels is commonly accepted,
UK hotels are implementing it to see how mainstream it gets,
if just a mere shrug, interesting to beancounters that brought you the goodness of the USA Hilton breakfast credit .....
so just saying enjoy the pools out there, who knows i won't last....
(quel horreur if pools in the EMEA / APAC become part of resort / amenity fees !)

So the charge is real, however it is waived for anyone with gold status or above. Same with the fee for the wider spa. Works for me.
Side note, you seem to earn 500 extra points per night by putting a hanger on the door saying you don’t want housekeeping.
