I've been wondering about these, as well. Strangely, a handful of them are listed as both Mr&Mrs Smith on IHG as well as Small Luxury Hotels by Hyatt (e.g., Edison, Penang).

IHG bought Six Senses and recently announced an agreement with Mr and Mrs Smith for point earning/redeeming and some benefits.

I wonder when will the Mr & Mrs Smith hotels become bookable. I'm going to Rio in Apr. and, given IHG doesn't have any property there, the Mr & Mrs Smith hotels are the only ones listed on the website.

I think there are a lot of us impatiently waiting for these to be bookable and not just show up. I really wish they would release some info on when we are going to be able to redeem points and book.

I tried to ask directly to Mr&Mrs Smith about it

I got this answer:

Thanks for getting in touch. We're very excited about the upcoming launch of our partnership with IHG. All participating Mr & Mrs Smith hotels will soon be bookable on IHG.com, for you to earn & redeem your IHG Rewards Club points as you do on the rest of the IHG portfolio. As bookings will be made through IHG, feel free to contact IHG directly for any further questions, or booking inquiries when the time comes.

...I asked directly to IHG but not been answered yet.

To not cannibalise revenue.

Ideally they want you to redeem for trips you would otherwise not have taken, and pay up for the stays you need either way.

Another, little OTish though. I hate they display all these mr&mrs smith if they are not bookable. For example doing a London search, they only add noise to the search.

I don’t know ... if a person can have 2-3 leisure trips per year, it remains the same. I can’t do the 4th one if I don’t have the holidays or I can’t afford it, just to burn some points. I simply book another hotel on my forecasted leisure trips ...or I keep the points.

When in early 2020?

Has anyone heard/seen any update on when?

Want to book one of the Mr and Mrs Smith properties listed in Ireland.
