Angry Points + Cash more expensive

With the recent sale for 20% off the cash portion of Points + Cash, I thought I'd use the opportunity to buy some points for under 0.5˘ as I had before. However, the cash components seem to have gone up in price. After a lot of searching, the cheapest I can find is an effective rate of 0.57˘ per point. Has anyone found Points + Cash to be worthwhile lately?

Indeed. At the same moment of announcing the 20% promotion, they increased the cash portion with 20%.

What a scam.

P&C in itself is an attempt to scam members who don't know any better. (different pricing for different dates/hotels, despite it simply being a sale of points)

But I also noticed that all prices increased by 25% so that the 20% discount takes them back to the beginning. Truly unacceptable behaviour - in fact there's surely a lawsuit in there about how prices have to be at a certain level for a certain amount of time before you can promote a "sale".

I've been seeing crazy P&C pricing recently, e.g., $95 cash or 15,000 points plus $75.

Bump. I can't see anything below .57 cpp either, making the current points sale (.5 cpp for 26K points or more) a better deal.

Anyone see anything different?

I haven't seen anything under .5cpp for a long time. It usually has happened when they have a points+cash promotion.

Agreed. And the last time they had a promotion, point + cash charges were such that one still couldn't get below .5c.
