Does this count as two separate nights? Points / Cash booked separately

Originally booked a Saturday night at a HIX using points.
Then my plans changed a few days later so I booked the Friday night as cash.

Checking my account activity, I've been awarded 0 points.

Can I chase up the points for the paid for Friday night stay?

Hotels often combine two separate reservations into one for consecutive nights. For points / nights the result is unpredictable, even when both reservations are for paid nights.
I used the online form to request the missing points / nights and always got them several days later.

Alas separate sequential bookings often work out like this, where the hotel rolls all the room rates (monies) to the last booked stay in the sequence.

For
o All Paid nights, you get full monies on final paid night, results in a)full points b)loss of stayed night count for the non-final stay booking as show as cost us$0 automatically a non-qual night
o If last night is booked as an award , full monies end up on bill of award night, since award nights are non qual, a)no points awarded for the earlier paid nights, and b)again no stayed-might count credit for paid nights, only the award nights

You will get the points on the cash night but not on the points night.

I'm trying to claim for the cash night but when I put my reservation number into the form, it doesn't recognise it.
Got the email confirmation, stayed and paid, and have the invoice.

What's better to sort this out? Email, phone etc.?
