Guests kicked out (without refund) of a Crowne Plaza for supporting striking workers
tl;dr: A UK father and his daughter were kicked out of the Crowne Plaza Niagara Falls for joining striking workers on a picket line. They helped hand out leaflets for an hour. The hotel is refusing to refund them.

The guests that chose to get involved into an industrial relations issue with the company - doesn't seem so surprising that the hotel decided that it didn't want them at the hotel - not giving a refund seems iffy

The guests are entitled to a refund for any incompleted nights of their stay.

The hotel has rowed back very swiftly on this blaming their security company and refunding the entire stay including nights they were actually accommodated.
Even so, it’s still a dreadful, awful representation of the Crowne Plaza in Niagara Falls “Don't agree with us? We’ll frogmarch you out our hotel!” Plenty of Hospitality and tolerance training is needed there!

The situation is even worse: apparently they weren't even participate in a strike involving the hotel but at a strike involving a cafe owned by the same company as the hotel.
Other Unions seem to have cancelled all of their bookings at the hotel -- and the reaction of the hotel pretty much reveals the true character of management:
The hotel responded in a statement, saying the cancellations will hurt Workers United's own unionized members employed at the hotel.
But that kind of remark is exactly what would you expect from a management that allegedly grabs the staff's tips to make up for the newly increased minimum wage.
