My second stay posted and the dashboard shows 10% complete for the 15,000 bonus points task. Based on this, it looks like you need to earn the full 15k bonus points to hit the Achievement...

I'm confused with my offer.
Does this mean on my first stay I get 2,000 + 3,000 bonus points?
Then on my second stay at a different brand from the first, I get 22,400 + 4,000 + 5,000 + 6000 bonus points?
These appear to be the offers that only show up when the page is print previewed. If so, it is likely you will not get any points for them. If these actually show up on the web page, I have no idea what the conflicting language will result in for you.

I had a Twitter conversation today with @IHGService and the response I received was that the full 15K bonus points had to be received for the task to be completed. I still don't know if I can 100% rely on this as I get the feeling the person doesn't completely "get it," but given that it would require me to move a number of bookings away from other chains for "hoped for" outcome, it's not worth it to me to continue in trying for the achievement bonus.

Mine shows 4% for my 552 bonus points earned on my second stay.

I assume, from above, that the 15000 point isn't an additional bonus once you hit the target but "you have to stay in IHG hotels to earn up to 15000 bonus points and then you're back to normal earning rates".

So, your rate was only $55.20 and you got 10 points per dollar??

Also, the total spend is more like $1600 since the first stay does not count. Painful and unpleasant.

Then, if you actually accomplish this challenge, then your next challenge will be even harder.

Just moved my remaining 2018 stays to Hilton / Hyatt.
Yeah, one would expect that, as far as bonus points go, there is either a minimum or a maximum of possible gains, but within a range...

Having a minimum which is also the maximum should be worded differently - such as, "get 15000 extra free points upon reaching 15000".

So while I should still pass $1500 by end of October without sweating much, I'm not happy about the way the offer has been presented.

Finally, my 2nd stay should post tomorrow so I'll add my own data point to what unfortunately seems a pretty clear scenario already.

EDIT: What about this: could the extra points from the 2x bonus post ONLY at the end of Q3 AND up to a maximum to 15K ? That'd make sense...

I think it is quite logical that it only shows % from 15K double points bonus after second stay. Clearly, it can not show it as "completed" after your second stay, as it would mean that one would not get any more double points. However, I think still there is a hope that it would be sufficient for the purposes of "cumulative" achievement bonus. Maybe some manual adjustments will be required, so in this case I expect a lot communcations with IHG support. Let`s wait till someone actually fullfill all the criteria except for 1500USD spent and then contact them for these bonuses.

My Discover our Brands requires 5 properties. Discover Our Brands. Stay at 5 brands and get 20,800 bonus points.

Does anyone know if the QO Amsterdam qualifies? It's not listed in the terms, but it does show up as a IHG property

So after my 2nd stay (4 nights @ IC Bucharest) I see, as everyone else, partial progress towards the 15000 bonus (30% in my case).

Still think per my last post, and as others have presumed, that partial completion of the task at end of Q3 should yield partial amount of points obtained.

Getting to 100% of bonus points MAY perhaps make a difference for those who have "complete N tasks, get further bonus" (I don't) at the end of promotion, in the sense that those may be required to get to 15000 in order to fulfill the "completion" of the task.

Anyway if nobody gets there first I'm likely to get a posted 15000 by Oct 21, where I expect the 100% to pop up.

Does anyone know if you have to sign up for the offer prior to the first stay? Can I sign up after the first stay but before the second stay to earn bonus points?

The same here!

This is a total rip off and let down - the terms were changed and now it says we have to achieve this 15K point threshold in the first category to achieve the final bonus!!! Here was my offer:

15,000 Double Your Stay Earn double points on every stay, starting with your second stay, up to 15,000 bonus points. 14% In Progress BOOK NOW
16,000 Discover Our Brands Stay at 2 brands and get 16,000 bonus points. Completed
12,000 Saturday Stays Bonus Stay 2 weekend(s), including a Saturday night and another night, and earn 12,000 bonus points. Completed
6,600 Earn More, Faster Earn 6,600 bonus points when you book 2 Bonus Points Package stay(s) and get to your next reward faster. Completed
34,600 Your Achievement Bonus Complete 4 of the 4 offers and earn (an additional) 34,600 bonus points. 75% In Progress BOOK NOW

Here is the breakdown after the second stay:

Holiday Inn Santa XXX
Number of Nights: 2
Total Earned 41,760

Base Points 2,064
Elite Bonus Points 1,032
Bonus Point Packages 2,000
Discover Our Brands 16,000
Saturday Stays Bonus 12,000
Earn More, Faster 6,600
Double Your Stay 2,064

Total spent $435.55
to get 46,320 points not to mention the points that will be earned by using the Chase IHG MC Earn 10 points per $1 spent when you stay at IHG hotels which will be 4356 points = 50,676
So the bottom line it cost .86 cents to earn each IHG points in my offer - I am not going further, this isn't worth it as I calculate anything over .5 cents per point is too much!

WARNING: Unless you have planned travel AVOID this promo!

It seems a pretty good return to me. 50.000 points for 2 nights. I make it 0.86 cents per point. You did after all stay in the hotel for 2 nights as well. it wasnt as if you were just buying the points

No, not 2 nights - 2 stays of 2 nights each as per the promo requirements. And, no, I did not stay at these 2 different properties as this was a mattress run. I love my bed and my pillow and I stayed at home. The bottom line is this is NOT good promo for mattress run. Unless you have a scheduled travel, this is not worth your time or money.

Buying points would been a much better deal.
