Update 2023:
- it seems no new RA have been invited by IHG
- criteria for RA requalification are still unknown
- geographical location of member / country account registration seems of some impact due of covid19(restrictions/availability)
- RA is processed in weekly batches starting december 2022
- proof by nicolas75 shows RA qualification for 2024 seems to be strictly based on IC hotels only (not Regent, Kimpton, SixSenses anymore)

Update 2019: The RA status granted at the start of the calendar year 2017 and 2018 has been based on IC revenue. As from 2019 criteria again have become vague. RA is not achieved through IC spend only. Other, unknown elements are taken into account as well. (Fact: Some users with very high +25k IC spend were not renewed in 2019.)
Update December 2018: it looks like some accounts are proactively being renewed in December 2018, well ahead of the stated expiration of Jan 31, 2019. It is currently unknown what criteria were used, but previous years appeared to indicate around $10K++ in IC spend only.

Is there anyone out there who had the Royal Ambassador Kit indication in their account feed on 12/27 that still hasn't received the email confirming status renewal? From this string it seems the vast majority who had the kit indicate in December have since received their renewal email as well as an invitation to Kimpton Inner Circle. I haven't received the renewal notification or any indication of Kimpton Inner Circle despite having the kit indication in my account feed on the 27th. Seems bizarre as I had over $30K of spend and 98 nights exclusively at ICs. This program drives me nuts

helpful for cities when they don't have an IC, really in the US.
if they haven't given you Inner Circle, you could always try via Ambassador Services, if no joy, they have a dedicated telephone number for Inner Circle members, you could try that, and if all else fails, you cle email Mr Canty.

Does the Kimpton IC invite depend upon having stayed at a Kimpton? I noted a Kimpton Karma activation activity with 0 points after my stay at the Kimpton Fitzroy in December.

I didn’t get any Kimpton stuff, but I don’t even have a Kimpton account. Wonder if they’ll add it to the list of qualifying spend. Of course, we’ll likely only know in a year, so I will miss out on staying in them

I'm seriously miffed that IHG has changed their website and it's basically impossibly now to fetch all the stays in one go and figure our where one stands.
To solve that, I've written myself a python script that will automatically fetch everything, IHG has about my stays. Turns out, there's actually a lot of info available which is just not clearly shown on the website.
It's using selenium and a firefox webdriver to log into the page, fetch an API Key and then use that to download all the activity details. Code is at https://github.com/ixs/traveltools/t...r/ihg-activity and there's a Dockerfile to make running this stuff a bit easier. Maybe it's useful for someone else...
Example JSON that IHG is sending for a stay is actually quite nice for detailed analytics...

i haven't received any email confirmation, just the Dec 27th, and Jan 7th Activity line item.

It depends. The problem is, the data is coming from a host at apis.ihg.com and I am using the exact same commands the webbrowser uses in order not to cause any problems. In order to access this API though, one needs an API Key and a SSO (Single Sign On) Token.
Once you have these, getting the data and running the analysis is super simple and everybody could do it. Install a program, run the script, done.
But getting this API and SSO Token is difficult. My script gets this data by starting a (hidden) Firefox browser, logging into the website, open a few pages and then I extract the key and the SSO token. As all this is done in Javascript this seemed to be the sanest approach. Unfortunately running this hidden Firefox browser is kinda complex which means being an IT person comes in handy...
In order to facilitate all that for other people, I have a docker container that contains all the software, so if you have a Macbook or a Linux machine, running the script yourself is doable, even for a non IT Person. I'd be happy to walk you through it. This should also be possible on Windows, but I have never tried it.
I thought that this might be a useful thing for other people as well and I'd be happy to offer a simple web-interface to fetch said data were it not for the fact that everyone using this interface would effectively handing over their password which is something people should probably not do.
So right now, I am unsure. I'd love for other people to be able to get their data easily but I am not sure how to make it user-friendly enough.

I’d contemplated something like this for my accounts (not just ihg) that hooked into a local db and drove my personal tracking ui. Yeah, I’m still on manual entry. LOL Free time? What’s that!
