When you're on your account page it's down at the bottom left. You'll see it say "Choice Benefit".

Not on my page yet. It now says I'm Club Royal Ambassador, and "print your card" gives me a card that says CLUB on it. But nowhere on the page does the word Spire appear.

Maybe the Club part means that I get Club access at all IHG hotels that have Clubs?

My tier just changed to "Spire Ambassador".

There's a nice little matrix here with the amazing benefits some of us will get with the new Spire status:

https://www.ihg.com/rewardsclub/us/en/enjoy-rewards

It's basically the 25K points and 100% bonus points.

I was hoping against hope for free breakfast during my stay mid-month, but I guess not.

I'll soon have 150,000 points for the year, so I guess I'll be a Twin Spire.

It's such an odd release... I associate a red card/tier very strongly with the a bottom tier entry.

"Thank you for being a Spire member with IHG." Meh.

If IHG wanted their new level to be distinctive and uniquely their own, I guess they've achieved that, but I'm not sure it's in the positive way they were intending.

The first thing I thought of with the name was that maybe it was something they thought people would aspire to have? Who knows.

All properties have been briefed in the last few days from a conference call? What that probably means is 1 person at each property has been briefed, and the amount of information the other employees will ever know is dependent on how much that 1 person shares.

I wouldn't be expecting instant recognition or awareness of the new level. It will be years before some properties even know or acknowledge it exists. Welcome points has been a brand standard for almost a full year now, and yet some properties are finally just aware of it. I'm guessing that handing over a Spire elite membership card will be greeted with the same way handing over a platinum card was for the most part, with a dismissive "yeah, we've got your number on file". We'll see.

It's just the result of some code like this:

if level=1 print "Gold"
if level=2 print "Platinum"
else print "Club"

You'd think they'd have added an extra "if" statement (to check for Spire) before they pushed the button but it appears they didn't!

That's going to take some beating
Pillow preference ... I've been truly anticipating that one.

My Membership Level has been updated to Spire Royal Ambassador. Does that mean I will get a Spire RA Card (as opposed to my existing Plat RA Card)? If so, will I get another BOGO voucher and 5000 points for deposit?

The system is probably changing your status to the base club level as an intermediate step to the new tier. Just a guess.
Was: Platinum Ambassador
Now: Spire Ambassador
