How are the rooms?
Not bad. Top floor rooms have smallish, round windows. Only one window in my room.

How is the exec. lounge?
No lounge, not unexpected for an older property, but still disappointing.

What was your welcome gift?
Red wine (plonk)

Did you receive fruit in the room?
Yes

What was good and what was bad?
Good: The minibar was pretty good (Moet), bed was comfortable, room was of adequate size.

Bad: Not much of a view.

Value for $ or Priority Club Points?
Given $100 F&B credit for the FHR rate, the value was pretty good.

Would you return?
Yes

I got the "Barclay Suite" on a one night points stay. Amazing. Can only imagine what Presidential was like!

Just turned up at the Ic Mark Hopkins and the room is nice (will report back after stay) but we got in around 8pm and wanted a glass of wine from the minibar...not an option! Just beer and a few cheap spirits. My daughter even commented that there wasn't even a Sprite/lemonade. Is this the norm? Never been the experience at any other IC although IC Chicago ran out of Champagne over new year...

Yes, very happy, very well treated. Amb/RA gift of chocolate and an IC Mark Hopkins keychain,
- Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?
Booked cheapest available, was given One Bedroom Suite with Club Access
- How are the rooms?
Rooms are nice, though a little dated. Reminded us somewhat of the Willard (lots of funny "wedge a flatscreen tv in the older furniture" situations) Very pleasant sitting area.
- How is the exec. lounge?
Large, well appointed. Good selection for breakfast and excellent bar in the evening. Tasty crabcakes!
- What was good and what was bad?
Nice room, fairly limited minibar.
- Value for $ or Priority Club Points? Would you return? Good value - booked cheapest and ended up with nice suite with Club access. Valet parking is a fortune (59US/night) but we knew that going in. Very helpful staff and overall a very nice stay.

Not the norm at all, must not have been restocked...sounds like you may have been missing other items as well.

Mini has White in the fridge and red on the drawer above. Clos du Bois for both. Spirits are fine, but limited to 6 in the fridge, Beers include Anchor Steam ect. The mini bar here is just ok, the IC SFO has a much nicer one, with 16 minis, better wine, ect.

Nice, in great condition lots of glass on the JR suite.

Well stocked mini-bar Was there for 1 day and they restocked in the morning, even though my checkout was at 4pm..
Staff. Made sure to tell me benifits, also said Mini would be restocked daily.... and it was.(even for my extended 1 day stay)

What is your Ambassador Status?

Since there are already so many reviews i will spare you the standard details. I have been many times to this hotel, usually very happy but not this time.

What was bad?
- Flight was arriving around 7 am, called the hotel a few days before to let them know of my arrival time and asked to have a room ready around 8:00.
Arrived. The clerk at the front desk went on typing for several minutes, copied the passport details and finally told me that i have been upgraded to Club and escorted me to the club lounge (the always do this, i would much rather get my room key right there and not waste time going up to the lounge and then back down to the room)
- In the lounge: unfortunately your room is not ready yet but housekeeping is already. Have some breakfast first and i will inform you when your room will be ready in less than one hour.
- Nobody came. After 1:20 hr i asked. New person there: Sorry, your room is not ready yet but housekeeping is.... It will be about one hour.
- My response was: not acceptable. First as an RA i should be able to check in at 8 and nor it is 9 am. So either give me a room now or find another room for me to freshen up.
- After another 20 min finally got the room.

- No letter outlining benefits, no gift, none of the usual drink coupons in the room.
- Asked in the club lounge in the afternoon about these missing items. Nothing happened.
- Asked in the evening downstairs and thei immediately delivered fruits and a teddy bear

- Service in the club lounge on the second day was exceptionally slow. It took over 20 minutes to get a glass of ice water for breakfast. Also no latte or cappuccino 'because the machine is broken'. Waiters all seemed to be new and running around like headless chickens. The club manager was hiding in the little room next to his desk. Lots of people complaining that they did not get what they ordered or got the wrong items. Utter chaos.

There were additional issues, like no turndown service one evening, no diet drinks in the minibar but i will spare you the details.

I have another stay there in about one week. If they don't get their act together this will be my last stay for a while
