Please read these before asking your question in the thread.
- Q. If I book a stay using IHG points, does that count as a "stay" towards my Into The Nights offers?
A. No.
- Q. If I book a stay using a cash and points rate, does that count as a "stay" towards my Into The Nights offers?
A. No.
- Q. Will stays booked via a consolidator (like TravelPony) or other public travel portal or points portal count towards this promo?
A. No. Your stays must be booked directly with IHG on their website or on their app. However, if you are booking through your corporate portal at work, this may post if such stays usually earn you base points.
- Q. How long will it take for my points to post?
A. Normally they post within a week or two.
- Q. How long after stay points post to my IHG account is it until my personal Into the Nights dashboard is updated showing progress in my offers?
A. The Tuesday after the stay points post to account. (edit: has been Thursday lately, November)
- Q. Where can I find the Bonus Point package with Breakfast rate?
A. Click here to book Bonus Points Package with (or without) Breakfast rate.
NOTE: Make sure that your email confirmation states something like this:
Rate Description: Exclusive to IHG Rewards Club members. Earn Faster with this package offer plus breakfast - Earn 5,000 bonus IHG Rewards Club points per stay when you book the 5,000 Bonus Point Package plus breakfast each day (breakfast for up to 2 adults sharing a room). Membership in IHG® Rewards Club is free! Points can be redeemed at any time for a variety of rewards, including free hotel stays starting at just 10,000 points, airline miles, name-brand merchandise and more. Book now to take advantage of this special offer!
Otherwise you booked the wrong rate type. This type of rate also comes in a 1000 point version.
- Q. I registered for this promotion before 10/20/2014 and my tasks changed! (E.g., "book a stay with the app" became "book 9 stays with the app").
A. See this post from IHG's FlyerTalk representative.
- Q. Does a Holiday Inn Express stay count as a Holiday Inn stay?
A. No
- Q. What are the conditions for the free nights being awarded?
A. Free nights must be redeemed by December 31st, 2015 and must be claimed by January 31st, 2015 or members will automatically be awarded applicable points. Free Nights can only be used in participating IHG hotels and may not be transferred. A Free Night is valid only for one standard room night rate and applicable taxes (not including breakfast). Redemption is subject to availability of the rooms of hotels specially provided for this promotion. The hotel rooms hotels specially provided for this promotion shall be determined at IHG’s discretion.
- Q.I chose the 2 free nights award, how do I book them?
A. Go to your My Account page on ihg.com (after logging in). On the left hand masthead you will see an option labeled "Free Night Status". The page will show how many free nights you have available and provides a way to book the nights. Note that it's a bit clumsy -- an initial search will show that the lowest price is Free, but until you click thru you won't know if it's really available for your preferred nights.
- Q. Can I trade the free nights?
A. Not on FlyerTalk. They are specifically designated non-transferable.

so once you complete your task and get the option to pick either 2 free nights or points. More challenges will show up?
what if you went above and beyond on the initial part of the promotion. do those get counted towards your extra challenges. Or do you have to treat the 6 extras as a separate promotion?

The terms for the new offers that have displayed since I completed the first set show that qualifying activity counts from beginning of promotion/registration until 31st Dec. I still have 2 nights out of 10 to complete of the first set, but have an additional offer to stay 3 nights in the second set. I have a stay booked tomorrow through Monday. Will this 2 night stay count for 2 nights of the first and second challenges?
Also, I have a new challenge to book a reward night. I actually did book a reward stay on 10th Sept, which, according to the terms shown, is within the window to qualify for the promo. But will it actually count as I booked the room before the promo was displayed?
I'll keep you all posted as to what posts and what doesn't!

I am really tired of this worth- and useless customer service. I am one of the RA members with close to unrealistic tasks, inter alia 8 Saturdays, 30 nights and 9 IC hotels. I took the challenge and it would work if their IT would work. They already admitted that they took my enrolment date wrong. Given that, two IC, a weekend, four nights and a Saturday is missing. They keep playing around with my account, adding tons non-qualifying nights (30 by now) and not to my surprise this does not work what I told them more than once. I cannot understand how dump on organisation can be to organise an disaster like this. I want to get that solved, but obviously they are not capable of solving this.

after the unilateral account closures recently, and now this, i'm surprised a shareholder activist or two haven't stepped in to shake things up a little as a prelude to a PE move, i love the RA program, and benefits, but it's a loose organisation in how they deal with their most loyal customers, if a casino treated its high rollers the same way, they wouldn't have a business. I just hope they face it, and deal with it, and get their IT and Marketing departments in unison, for the sake of the customers, and of course their shareholders.

Download the app now showing as stay 1 night, phew
Just waiting for my book and pay with IHG Visa card to update and then that's the challenge complete, this stay was completed about a month ago but do realise it can take up to 6 weeks to post.
I think I need a break....

For any UK members, have you managed to complete this offer [if you have it on your dashboard]:
3 stays already - all paid with the said card - still shows as not complete.
Book and pay for 1 stay(s) with your IHG® Rewards Club Black Visa® and earn 1,500 bonus points. Terms

My partner has had nothing track on her dashboard, but has the points posted. We have enough stays booked across our two accounts to hit 2 free nights each. If the bonus points don't post I've got all my confirmation details and screen grabs to take them to the UK ASA where I'm sure they take more than a passing interest!

Stay posted during the night - completed two offers and earned 14,400 points - but they are not moving across to my account.
