I stupidly didn't realize the letter contained the code, I was looking for a physical certificate, and I'm pretty sure I tossed the letter. I emailed the ambassador desk to see if there's a way to get a copy of the letter, but I'm not holding out much hope there.
Does anyone know if there's any other way to access the code?

I am sure the Ambassador desk will get back to you and be able to assist you in getting your code for your points.
I have had very prompt replies from them.
If you haven't heard back in a few days (I'd be surprised) give the Ambassador Line a call.
It's a simple check of your rewards account to see you haven't deposited the points. They can either issue you a new code or just deposit the points for you.

Finally received my ambassador package in the mail. Contained the BOGO and membership card. No 5K points code in the cover letter. I had emailed the IHG ambassador program and asked for compensation or an extension of my ambassador membership (I had joined in July 2015). Received a reply several days ago with an apology and 5K points into my account but no extension of ambassador membership. Wondering if those points were in lieu of the points that would come with the package.

Called Ambassador support today. It seems that in the case of SPIRE AMBASSADOR PACKAGES :
1- Temporary kits have been mailed out on 19th January.
2- Temporary kits contain bogo cert and spire ambassador cards. NO luggage tag. No mention of 5k points voucher.
was given 10k more points as compensation for lateness.

If they don't offer points compensation, ask ( DO NOT say you read on FlyerTalk that other people were getting 5-10K)
If that doesn't work, wait awhile & HUCA.

Just called and was told that they had not yet sent any packs for Spire Ambassadors. Was informed that they would send an email out when they were sending the Spire Ambassador packs. being a Royal Ambassador I thought this wouldn't be an issue, but I guess not.
Wasn't offered any compensation for the delay, so I'm not sure...
Oh well, such is life. Guess I'll book those new 60k point IC rewards nights

You guys who aren't getting compensation:
They aren't going to offer points on a silver platter. You need to be forceful and to some extent, jerkish. Complain, if they don't offer anything, then just threaten to cancel your AMB status for a full refund if your Spire kit is not received within 10 business days. They will step into line at this point.

Can a BOGO even be used if one isn't Ambassador status anymore?

Finally!!
After four months, the pack arrived today - a shiny card, a certificate valid to Jan 2017 but no extended membership and no 5000 points, scanned the letter inside out and the envelope has been turned outside in
There is nothing.
