Not worth it if you have any sort of balance.

Best case scenario that is 12 nights in a 10K points per night hotel. So you pay about $57.50 a night.

I got offered 100% and I just assumed that everybody got offered the same thing. It does feel like quite a good deal, though. Are there any thresholds which if you cross it becomes a less interesting deal? I remember last year, when a 50% bonus was offered for purchases, that there was a threshold somewhere around the purchase of 26,000 points where it made no sense to buy 26,000 but a lot of sense to buy 25,000, or maybe vice versa.

"Have too many points, so still not worth buying points for me."

So how many is too many? At what point would you buy?

Using IHG credit card to buy these

If I used my IHG credit card, would I get the 5 pt x $1 bonus? If so, that would be a 3,450 bonus on the purchase of 60K points.

My wife got 25%, I got 50% - both with similar low point balances & CC holders - I had 2 paid stays last year and a few award stays, my wife had 1 award stay.

So I guess it's pretty conclusive evidence. I'm twice as good as my wife.

You need to move the decimal point 1 place to the left.

Its 0.575c per point.

Both myself and the missus got 25%.

I would have maxed out if they offered 75 or 100% - i.e. the bonuses where it comes out below the 0.7 cents you can always buy points at...

100% more here. With all the posts from those from the UK, I wasn't sure if this was going to be a promo in the USA, too. Email came in at 1:32 PM PDT.
